1. INTRODUCTION

Thank you for choosing EDO, the Nordmende BLENDER which, thanks to its simplicity, will keep you happy in the kitchen Please read this manual carefully in order to use EDO in the best way, and to keep it for future use.

SECURITY INFORMATION

ATTENTION: Please pay attention to these guidelines, as the manufacturer assumes no responsibility if the user does not follow the following recommendations or uses EDO improperly.

Before using EDO safely and efficiently, please read the following warnings:

This device complies with the LVD Directive 2014/35 / EU, EMC 2014/30 / EU, 2011/65 / EU and al

Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004 of 27/10/2004 on materials in contact with food.

DANGER for children

  • This product may be used by children over 8 years of age and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with poor experience and knowledge only if they are supervised by an adult and have been instructed by an adult about safe use of the product and provided that they include the risks that would incur an improper use of the product.
  • This appliance can not be used by children. Keep the appliance and the its cord out of the reach of children.
  • Children must not play with the appliance. The cleaning and maintenance of the product must not be carried out by children unless they are more than 8 years old but always under the supervision of an adult
  • If you decide to dispose of the product as waste, you are recommended to make it inoperative by cutting off the power cord. It is also recommended to make those parts of the appliance harmless, especially for children who may use the appliance for their games.
  • The packaging elements must not be left within reach of children as they are potential sources of danger.

DANGER due to electricity

• Make sure that the electrical voltage of the appliance corresponds to that of your electricity supply.

- Do not leave the appliance unattended when connected to the mains; unplug it after each use.

• Make sure you always keep your hands dry before using or adjusting the switches on the unit or touching the power plug and connections.

• Even when the appliance is not in use, unplug the appliance and wait for the moving parts to stop before inserting or removing individual components or before cleaning.

- This appliance is not designed to be used continuously. Allow the engine to cool down every 15 minutes of uninterrupted operation. It is required to leave off GENIUS at rest for at least 5 minutes before using it again.

- Do not leave the cord hanging from the edge of the table or the table top. Never place the cord or appliance on hot surfaces.

- In case of use of electric extensions, the latter must be adapted to the power of the appliance, in order to avoid dangers to the operator and to the safety of the environment in which it operates. Incorrect extensions may cause malfunctions.

DANGER resulting from other causes

- Do not place the appliance on or near heat sources.

- During use place the appliance on a horizontal and stable surface.

- Do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents (rain, sun, etc ...).

• Make sure that the electric cable does not come into contact with hot surfaces.

- Never use the appliance in any way other than that described in this manual.

IMPORTANT: make sure the engine is completely stopped and the plug disengaged before accessing any part of the blender with your hands or anything else

  • This appliance is used for mincing. Do not use the appliance to crush other types of use other than what is indicated in this guide
  • Do not use the appliance to mince foods with an excessive consistency (NOTE: ice cubes may be minced but it is suggested not to exceed this use
  • Never touch the parts when they are moving and never put your fingers or kitchen utensils in the filler neck.
  • The blades are VERY sharp, pay close attention when cleaning.
    • Always keep hands and kitchen utensils away from blades and moving parts to avoid injury or damage to the appliance
  • Do not use the appliance barefoot.
  • In case of prolonged use or overload, the product could be equipped with a protector that avoids damage by disconnecting the power supply to the motor. If this happens, wait a few minutes for the engine to cool down, also removing the plug from the socket. DO NOT attempt to start the engine, DO NOT attempt to reach the blades with your fingers. The engine can start again after it has cooled (wait no less than 5 minutes)
  • In case of a problem, remove the plug from the socket, open the appliance, remove the hitch and reassemble the appliance completely before plugging it in again and restarting the engine.
    • DO NOT overload the engine
    • DO NOT run the engine at no load.
  • NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE, THE PLUG AND THE ELECTRIC CABLE IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS, USE A WET CLOTH FOR CLEANING
  • Do not use the appliance if the electric cable or the plug are damaged, or if the appliance itself is faulty; in this case take it to the nearest Authorized Service Center.

GO UP

- All repairs, including the replacement of the power cord, must be performed only by the Service Center or by NORDMENDE authorized technicians in order to prevent any risk. - If the appliance is dropped, it must not be reused before checking for the absence of any damage. If in doubt, contact assistance.

- The appliance is designed for DOMESTIC USE ONLY and must not be used for commercial or industrial use.

CAUTION possible material damage

- Do not operate the appliance when there are signs of visible damage on it or on the power cord, or when the appliance has fallen to the floor.

- Do not make changes to the article. The power supply cable must not be replaced autonomously.

- The use of non-original or unauthorized accessories compromises safety and functionality and makes the warranty void.

• To unplug, hold it directly and unplug it from the wall socket. Never unplug it by pulling it by the cord.

• do not hold the plug with wet or damp hands.

- It is advisable to keep the original packaging, as the free assistance is not provided for failures caused by improper packaging of the product at the time of shipment to an authorized Service Center.

- If you decide to dispose of this appliance as a waste, it is recommended to make harmless those parts of the appliance that may be dangerous, especially for children who may use the appliance for their own games.

ASSEMBLY

  1. Make sure to place the main body (1) on a horizontal and stable plane. Non-slip rubbers are pre-loaded on the base
  2. Insert the plastic container (2) on top of the main body (this is made easier by interlocking pins on both the main body and on the base of the container), let the container down slowly and make it easier to fit the base without straining too much
  3. when correctly inserted the container must not turn
  4. EDO is ready to use
  5. insert the product to be chopped, paying attention to the maximum level
  6. close the lid (3)
  7. Insert the power plug into a suitable power outlet (read general information described in this guide at the beginning)
  8. Switch on and use the blender using the on / off switch and speed control (1)

DISASSEMBLY:

  1. Switch off the blender by setting the switch (1) to position "0"
  2. Remove the plug from the socket
  3. Make sure the star blade is NOT moving anymore
  4. Remove the parts in reverse order as per the assembly procedure

CAUTION DURING OPERATION

  • Do not use for more than 3 minutes at a time.
  • When using continuously, stop and cool for about 5 minutes after each use.
    • Products must be introduced into the machine off

IMPORTANT: during operation the plastic container can be removed manually; take the hand with your hand and lift the container from the base. In this case the motor will automatically switch off as emergency protection.

If you place the container back on the base, the engine will start to run again

TIP: It is recommended not to use this method except for necessity, and to always switch off with the on / off switch before removing the container,

HOW TO USE "EDO" (References in Fig 2)

  • Cut food, such as fruit or ice (frequent use of ice is not recommended), in small pieces and place them in the graduated glass container (6) in an amount to satisfy your segences (the level indicates the number of cups that you will get in a general sense)
  • Insert the cover (5) by pressing it lightly until it is completely closed
  • Close the top hole of the cover (5) by inserting the special cap (4)

NOTE: The above ASSEMBLY procedure must be followed carefully before using EDO

  • Insert the power cord plug into an electrical outlet.
  • Start the appliance by turning the ignition knob (2) adjusting the speed as below:

P = “pulse” button, the motor stays on until it is released (it must be kept in position)

TIP: If the appliance does not start working, check the correct assembly of each part and that the power socket is correctly positioned. (attention to electrical dangers)

- To stop operation, turn the ignition knob (2) to position «0». - During use, food can be added to the container by lifting the cap (4), but only after switching off the appliance.

- It may be necessary to switch off the appliance several times in order to remove food residues from the sides of the glass. Should this occur, switch off the appliance and disconnect the power supply cable before working inside the glass container (pay attention to the star blade which is very sharp).

- Remove the cap, the lid and using a special spatula, remove any residue from inside the glass.

- Products with a high fiber content (such as celery) must be introduced into the machine after they have been cut into pieces of appropriate size (10-20 mm). (Products with particularly resistant fiber must be placed slowly in the machine after having cut pieces of about 20 mm).

• Always wash the fruit and vegetables you want to mince

• Always remove the kernels (plums, peaches, cherries, etc.).

• Light peel and other foods need only a preventive washing (apples, pears, carrots, radishes, lettuce, cabbage, parsley, spinach, grapes, strawberries, celery, etc.).

COMPLETE CLEANING

  • Set the switch to "0" (engine off)
    • Make sure that the motor has stopped completely and then unplug the power cord.
    • Perform the "Disassembly" steps
    • They must not wash the parts of the dishwasher.
  • Clean the main body with a damp cloth and then dry.
  • Glass containers; clean using a soft brush and water with not too aggressive detergents, then dry.

This product contains batteries covered by the European Directive 2013/56/EU, which must not be put in the household waste. Please be informed about local regulations regarding the collection of batteries, as their correct disposal helps to prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health.

The legal guarantee The products marketed by ALDINET Spa are covered by the free legal guarantee provided for consumers, ie non-professional buyers, in Articles 128 to 134 of the Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 06/09/2005 No. 206).

The statutory guarantee has a duration of n. 24 months from the date of delivery to the consumer as understood above and is provided by the seller, ie the person who supplied the product, to which the consumer must therefore contact.
