Frequently Asked Questions - TL100 Bogen

How do I connect speakers to the Bogen TL100?
Connect speakers to the screw terminals on the rear panel. Use 25V, 70V, or 100V constant voltage lines or 4Ω/8Ω low impedance outputs. Ensure total speaker wattage does not exceed 100W.
What is the recommended input source?
The TL100 accepts line-level signals from microphones, audio players, or telephone paging systems. Use a balanced input for long cable runs to reduce noise.
How do I adjust the volume and tone?
Use the front panel controls: Master Volume for overall output, Bass and Treble knobs for tonal adjustment. There is also an input level trim for matching source signal.
Can I use the TL100 for emergency paging?
Yes, the amplifier supports priority muting. When a signal is applied to the priority input, it overrides other audio sources, suitable for emergency announcements.
How do I mount the amplifier in a rack?
Attach the included rack ears to the sides of the unit with the provided screws. Then slide the amplifier into a standard 19-inch rack and secure with rack screws.
What should I do if the amplifier overheats?
Ensure adequate ventilation. The TL100 has thermal protection that will shut it off if overheated. Allow it to cool and reduce the load or improve airflow. If the problem persists, contact Bogen support.
How do I clean the unit?
Disconnect power. Wipe the exterior with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use water, solvents, or abrasive cleaners. Avoid moisture entering the vents.
Is a user manual available for download?
Yes, you can download the PDF manual from notice-facile.com or the Bogen website. The manual includes detailed specifications, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting tips.
What is the warranty period for the TL100?
Bogen provides a 2-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Register your product online to activate warranty support.
Can I repair the amplifier myself?
No user-serviceable parts inside. Opening the unit voids the warranty. For repairs, contact a certified Bogen service center. Always disconnect power before any maintenance.

The WMT1A is a balanced and isolated impedance matching transformer. Typical uses are to provide a 600-ohm balanced input adapter for unbalanced AUX inputs. WMT1A can also be used to drive long, balanced, twisted pair cable. This improves noise rejection and the maximum run length. The WMT1A can adapt line-level signals down to levels suitable for MIC inputs. See the drawing below for setting the Operating Modes.
