UPDATING THE WIRELESS RECEIVER:
Please visit http://www.dreamgear.net anytime there is a firmware update for your PS3 system to see if there is an updated driver for your wireless receiver.
How to Download the Updated Files:

Go to http://www.dreamgear.net.

Go to the product page of the purchased product (type in the item number in the search field for faster results).

Follow the on-screen directions on how to download the file to your PC.
NOTE: Make sure that the downloaded files are in an accessible folder or area for easy access. NOTE: The wireless receiver currently cannot be updated on a Mac.
How to Update your Wireless Receiver:
-
Press and hold down the connect button on the USB receiver and insert into the USB port on your computer.

Open the executable (.exe) file that you downloaded from the dreamGEAR website.
-
Once the program is open, click the OpenFile button and find the location of the most current driver file that you downloaded from the dreamCEAP website.

Choose the undatable driver file and open it.

Click the Download button.

After the download is complete, the Download Successful box should pop up. Press OK and you are ready to use your updated wireless receiver.
NOTE: Please check with your computer's User's Guide on how to remove the Wireless Receiver safely from your computer.
Charging Shadow Wireless Controller:
- The Shadow Wireless Controller features an internal rechargeable battery. To charge the Shadow Wireless, use the included USB charge cable or your original Sony USB charge cable.

- Connect the mini USB cable to the mini USB port located on the top of the Shadow Wireless
Controller.
- Connect the standard USB plug to any available port on your PS3 game console. Your PS3 must be powered "ON" in order for the Shadow Wireless to charge. The player indicator LEDs will flash to indicate charging has begun. When the controller is fully charged, the LED will become solid.
NOTE: You can also charge the Shadow Wireless Controller from most powered USB ports.
How to Sync the Shadow Wireless Controller the Wireless Receiver:

Connect the included Wireless Receiver to any available USB port on the PS3 game console

Press the connect button on the USB receiver. The receiver LED will hash rapidly.
- Press the DG/PS3 menu button. The LED on the receiver will become solid when the controller is properly synced to the receiver. The player indicator LED on the controller will also become solid when properly synced.
NOTE: If the controller is having problems syncing to the receiver, locate the RESET button on the back of the Shadow Wireless Controller. Press and hold for several seconds and follow the instructions on how to sync the controller to the receiver.
Charging While Playing
The Shadow Wireless Controller can be charged during game play.

The Shadow Wireless Controller features a Sleep Mode. The controller will enter Sleep Mode if one of the following occurs:

If the controller loses contact with the receiver for more than 30 seconds.

Five (5) minutes of analog stick or button inactivity.
To turn the controller on from being in Sleep Mode, press the DG/PS3 menu button on the controller.

When the internal battery power in the Shadow Wireless Controller is lower than the standard amount needed, the player indicator LED will flash rapidly. If this occurs, please charge the internal battery with the included USB Charging Cable.
