Frequently Asked Questions - W415e OPTOMA

How to turn on the OPTOMA W415e projector?
Plug in the power cord, remove the lens cap, then press the Power button on the projector or remote control. The power LED should blink and then stay on.
What to do if the projected image is off-center?
Use the Image Shift function in the Display menu to adjust the position horizontally and vertically. You can also adjust the projector height with the tilt foot.
How to replace the projector lamp?
Turn off the projector and wait 30 minutes for it to cool. Unplug the power, remove the lamp compartment cover (1 screw), unscrew the 2 module screws, then pull the handle to extract the module. Install the new module and reset the counter in the menu Options > Lamp Settings > Lamp Reset.
Why is the image inverted?
Go to the menu Menu > Projection and select the appropriate mode: Desktop Front, Desktop Rear, Front Ceiling, or Rear Ceiling according to your installation orientation.
How to activate keystone correction?
Press the V Keystone +/- keys on the remote control or go to the menu Display > V Keystone and adjust with the directional keys to correct vertical distortion (up to ±40°).
The remote control does not work, what to check?
Make sure the batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Check that there are no obstacles between the remote control and the projector's IR sensor, and stay within a range of 7 m and an angle of ±15°.
How to use the 3D function?
Activate 3D mode via the menu Display > 3D. Select the DLP Link or IR mode according to your glasses. Choose the 3D format (Auto, SBS, Top-Bottom, Frame Sequential) suitable for your source.
How to lock the projector with a password?
Go to Menu > Security, enable Security Settings and enter the default password (12345) or a new password. You can also set a Clock Security to limit use to certain time periods.
What does the fixed red LED mean?
A fixed red LED (non-blinking) indicates overheating. The projector shuts down automatically. Wait for it to cool down; if it turns on normally, the problem is resolved. If the LED persists, contact customer service.
How to connect a laptop to the projector?
Use a VGA cable (included) or HDMI (optional) to connect the computer to the projector. Plug in the power cable, turn on the projector, then press Source to select the corresponding input. On the laptop, press the function key (Fn + display toggle key) to duplicate or extend the screen.
