Frequently Asked Questions - KL60DFL KELVINATOR

How do I install the washing machine for the first time?
Remove all transport bolts and packaging. Level the machine by adjusting the feet. Connect the water inlet hose and drain hose securely. Plug into a grounded outlet. Run a quick wash cycle without laundry to clean the drum.
What should I do if the machine does not start?
Check that the door is fully closed and latched. Verify the water supply is turned on and the inlet hose is not kinked. Ensure the power cord is plugged in and the circuit breaker is on. If the problem persists, consult the error code manual.
How can I clean the detergent drawer?
Press the release lever inside the drawer and pull it out. Rinse under warm water and use a soft brush to remove residue. Wipe dry and reinsert. Clean the drawer housing with a damp cloth.
What is the maximum load capacity for a cotton cycle?
The recommended maximum load for the cotton cycle is 6 kg. Overloading may cause poor wash results and excessive vibration.
How do I activate the child lock?
Press and hold the 'Child Lock' button for 3 seconds. The indicator light will illuminate. To deactivate, repeat the same step. The child lock prevents any button presses during operation.
Why is the machine vibrating excessively during spin?
Ensure the machine is level on a solid floor. Check that transport bolts are removed. Distribute laundry evenly in the drum. Reduce the load if overfilled. If vibration continues, adjust the feet again.
How often should I clean the pump filter?
It is recommended to clean the pump filter every 2-3 months or when the 'Clean Filter' indicator appears. Turn off the machine, open the filter cover, place a container to catch water, and unscrew the filter. Remove debris and reinstall.
What does error code E1 mean?
Error code E1 indicates a water supply issue. Check that the water tap is fully open and the inlet hose is not clogged or kinked. Ensure water pressure is sufficient (0.3-10 bar). Reset the machine by unplugging for 1 minute.
Can I use liquid detergent with this machine?
Yes, you can use liquid detergent. Pour it into the appropriate compartment in the detergent drawer. For better results, add the liquid directly into the drum using a dosing ball. Avoid overfilling.
How do I run a drum cleaning cycle?
Select the 'Drum Clean' or 'Eco Drum Clean' program if available. Otherwise, run a cotton cycle at 90°C with an empty drum and a cup of white vinegar or a special drum cleaner. This should be done every 2 months.
