How do I use the Scarlett SC-1032 coffee maker?

Fill the water tank with cold water up to the desired level (max 1.2 L). Open the filter basket and add ground coffee to the permanent filter (or a paper filter if preferred). Close the basket, place the carafe on the hot plate, and press the on/off switch. The brewing starts automatically. Once done, the keep-warm function maintains temperature for up to 2 hours.

How do I clean the coffee maker?

Unplug the device and let it cool. Remove the filter basket and drip tray. Wash the carafe, filter basket, and drip tray in warm soapy water. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water. Descale regularly to remove mineral deposits.

Can I use ground coffee without a paper filter?

Yes, the SC-1032 comes with a permanent mesh filter. You can use medium-ground coffee directly. However, for finer grounds, a paper filter is recommended to avoid sediment in the cup.

How do I descale the coffee maker?

Mix a descaling solution or equal parts white vinegar and water. Pour into the water tank, run a brewing cycle without coffee, then let it sit for 30 minutes. Run two or three cycles with fresh water to rinse. Descale every 3 months for optimal performance.

What is the maximum water capacity?

The maximum water capacity is 1.2 liters, which brews about 10 cups (120 ml per cup). Do not exceed the MAX line inside the tank.

Does it have an automatic shut-off?

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

• For a perfect taste, carry out 2 or 3 boil-processes with fresh water (without coffee).
• Once all the water has passed through, switch the appliance off.
• Let it cool down for 5 minutes. Then repeat the process with fresh water 2-3 times.

OPERATION

MAKING COFFEE:

- Fill the detachable permanent filter with grounded coffee to the required level not tamping it and pack down firmly.

- Place the filter cone on the filter holder.

- Open the water tank lid and fill it with clean water to the required level.

ATTENTION! Do not fill the tank over maximum level mark.

- There are maximum (2 cups) and minimum (1 cup) water level marks inside the water tank.

- Coffemaker is provided with drainage on the back wall.

- Please use original cups to accurate water pouring.

- Close the water tank lid.

- Replace the cups.

- Set the On/Off switch to the "I" position, the indicator light should light up. At this moment the coffee maker will start the operation.

- When all water has run through the filter, switch the appliance off and unplug it.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Do not forget to unplug the appliance from the power supply before cleaning.
• Let the appliance cool down, and then wipe outside with a soft dry cloth. Do not use detergent or abrasives.
• Wash all detachable parts with hot soapy water, then rinse and dry before fitting to place.

DESCALING

- Descale your coffee maker regularly.

- Operate the appliance as described. Add proper descaling remedy, available at the market to the water tank and do not fill the filter with ground coffee. Follow recommendations given.

- After descaling let the appliance work twice more with only water to rinse away the vinegar and scale remainders.

- Clean the coffee maker about every 5 months to keep high efficiency.

STORAGE

• Switch off and unplug the appliance.
• Complete all requirements of chapter CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE.
• Store the appliance in a cool, dry place.
