Important Safety Instructions

1. Safety Precautions
- Outdoor Antenna Grounding - If an outside antenna is connected to the receiver be sure the antenna system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. Article 810 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, provides information with regard to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna-discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes and requirements for the grounding electrode. See Figure 1.

Non-use Periods - The power cord of the appliance should be unplugged from the outlet when left unused for a long period of time.

Object and Liquid Entry - Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the enclosure through openings.
- Damage Requiring Service - The appliance should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:
a) The power-supply cord or the plug has been damaged; or
b) Objects have fallen, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance; or
c) The appliance has been exposed to rain; or
d) The appliance does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in performance; or
e) The appliance has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged.
- Servicing - The user should not attempt to service the appliance beyond that described in the operating instructions. All other servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.

Before connecting
- This machine is designed to reproduce optimum sound quality when speakers with the specified impedance below are connected. Please check the following information and choose speakers with appropriate impedance for the connections.
Front speakers / Center speaker / Surround Speakers : 6 ohms min. per speaker Woofer speaker : 4 ohm min. per speaker
- To prevent damage to circuits, never short-circuit the positive (+) and negative (-) speaker wires.
- Do not connect the speaker cable to the L and R connectors at the same time and do not connect more than one speaker to the same speaker connectors.

5. Firmware Upgrade
• Preparing the Firmware Upgrade
- Write a disc to Update file by PC Writing Program.

- Open the Door of DVD Receiver.
- Insert the Update Disc into the Disc Tray.
- Close the Door, then DVD Receiver reads the disc, and Update the Firmware itself.

5. Firmware Upgrade
- Read the Disc, Checksum Check and Update New Firmware.





Caution
- While updating, if the door opened or closed by touch, or power button is pressed, the Flash Memory will be damaged.
• Completed Update.
- Automatically Power off (about 15 sec), than enter standby mode.
- Press Power Button, the System is working.
- Open the Door of DVD Receiver then remove the Firmware update disc.


- Check the Update Version.
- Open the Door of DVD Receiver.
- Press Audio Button or Subtitle Button.
• Audio Button : Check for MPEG Firmware Version.
- Subtitle Button : Check for Loader Firmware Version.
