IMPORTANT!

  • Read this instruction carefully in conjunction with the illustrations before using the appliance for the first time.
  • Before connecting the kettle. Ensure that the voltage indicated on the on the identification plate corresponds with the main voltage.
  • Connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket only.
  • The kettle is protected against damage due to operation with insufficient water by means of a safety cut-out. This cuts off power when the heating element gets too hot.

CHAPTER 3. SWITCHING OFF

  • When the water boiled, the appliance will switch off automatically and pilot light will go out, the switch will be the "O" position.
  • You can switch the kettle off manually at any time.

When ON/OFF switch is turned off, do not force it into the "I" position as this will seriously damage the operating mechanism.

CHAPTER 4. CLEANING

  • The kettle may be cleaned with a soft damp cloth after remove the mains plug from the wall socket. Do not use abrasive cleaner
  • Soap or detergent can be used to remove the troublesome stains, strong acid and corrosion cleaner must not be used to clean the operating mechanism.

CHAPTER 5. DESCALING

• Clean off the scale on the inside of jug kettle regularly in following manner at least twice a year.
- Add max 1.7 liter of ordinary vinegar in kettle and boil it.
- Switch off (or remove the main from wall socket)
- Let the vinegar remain inside the kettle overnight.
- Throw the vinegar away in the next morning
- Fill with the clean water up the MAX and boil again.
- Throw away this boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.
- Rinse the inside of kettle with clean water.
