USING YOUR ELECTRIC BLANKET
- Insert the mains plug into a suitable wall mains socket using an extension lead, if needed, to ensure that the lead is not stretched.
- Push the power switch to "On" to turn on the throw blanket. The default settings will be displayed as "0" as the heat setting and "1" as the timer setting.
- Adjust the temperature by pressing the "Temp" button; this will enable you to select a heat setting from 1-9.
- Adjust the timer by pressing the "Timer" button; this will enable you to choose the length of time the heated throw will operate for. Your throw can operate from 1-9, or 12 hours. After the selected time has passed, the heated throw will automatically switch off.
Note: When the display shows "H", the timer is set for 12 hours.
Note: The highest heat setting “9” should only be used for preheating; this setting is also only able to be programmed to run for 1 hour. The recommended heating setting for comfortable prolonged use is setting “4”.
Note: The lead between the controller and throw may get warm during use. This is normal and safe.
First time use
- When using your heated throw for the first time, set the heat setting to “9”, and the timer setting to “1”. This will remove any humidity and alleviate any odours present from the manufacturing process.
USING YOUR ELECTRIC BLANKET
Preheating
- To preheat the throw blanket set the heat setting to "9", and the timer setting to "1".
• After 1 hour, manually reduce the heat setting to avoid the appliance overheating.
All night use
- Electric throw blankets are perfectly safe to be used all night, however we recommend using the heat settings 1-3. These settings will provide safe and comfortable heat to sleep on all night.
Safety Protective Devices
Overheat Protection System - The system will remain dormant indefinitely as long as the throw blanket is operating in the normal temperature range. If, for any reason, the throw blanket is operated in an abnormal situation or condition which would otherwise have induced a rapid temperature rise high enough to constitute a hazard, the over heat protection should intervene by cutting off the supply current before the temperature reaches the point at which damage may occur. In the event of the over heat protection operating, the throw blanket will cease to function.
USING YOUR ELECTRIC BLANKET
Note: You may notice an odour when using the blanket for the first time, due to the insulation material. This is harmless and will subside quickly.
Note: No attempt should be made to repair the throw blanket or have it repaired locally. The switch supplied must never be replaced since the specialised components are not generally available.
The controller MUST remain uncovered during use, and the throw blanket should be kept flat when switched on and unsupervised, even for a short time.
Below are some examples of how to use your throw blanket:
• To warm the couch
• On top of you while on the bed
• Lightly wrapped around your body
However, DO NOT use your throw blanket in the below ways. These could result in the overheat protection system activating:
- While it is folded
• Underneath your bedding - While sitting on it
CLEANING AND CARE
WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard.

Before you clean the appliance, disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket.
