Frequently Asked Questions - TSM16 Tower

What surfaces can I use the Tower TSM16 steam cleaner on?
The TSM16 is suitable for sealed hard floors like tiles, vinyl, and laminate, as well as countertops, ovens, and bathroom fixtures. Avoid unsealed wood or delicate surfaces.
How do I fill the water tank?
Unplug the unit, remove the water tank cap, and use the included measuring cup to fill with clean water up to the MAX line. Do not add any chemicals or detergents unless specified.
How long does it take to heat up?
Approximately 3 minutes. The steam ready indicator light will turn on when it's ready to use.
Can I use tap water?
Yes, but for best results and to reduce mineral buildup, use distilled or demineralized water. Hard tap water may require more frequent descaling.
How do I clean and maintain the steam cleaner?
After each use, empty the water tank and let the unit cool. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Descale the tank monthly by filling with a mixture of 1 part vinegar to 10 parts water, let sit for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
What should I do if steam output is low?
Check if the water tank is empty, or if there is a blockage in the nozzle. Also, mineral buildup may reduce steam. Perform a descaling cycle as described in the manual.
Is the steam cleaner safe for use around children and pets?
The steam cleaner produces high-temperature steam. Keep children and pets away during use. The unit also has a child lock feature to prevent accidental operation.
Can I use the steam cleaner on carpets?
No, this steam cleaner is designed for hard surfaces only. Using it on carpets may cause damage or uneven cleaning. Consider a carpet steam cleaner for that purpose.
What accessories are included with the TSM16?
The package includes a measuring cup, funnel, a set of brushes (small and large), an extension tube, and a microfiber cloth pad for floor cleaning.
How do I store the steam cleaner?
Allow the unit to cool completely, empty the water tank, and wrap the power cord around the cord hooks. Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
