Frequently Asked Questions - W351 OPTOMA

How to connect a computer to the OPTOMA W351 projector?

Use a VGA or HDMI cable depending on available ports. Connect one end to the computer and the other to the corresponding input on the projector. Select the appropriate source via the Input menu.

How to replace the projector lamp?

Turn off the projector and unplug it. Wait for it to cool down. Remove the lamp cover (located at the back), unscrew the old lamp and replace it with a new one (ref. SP.8GT01.001). Close the cover and reset the lamp counter in the menu.

What to do if the image is distorted or tilted?

Enable automatic keystone correction or use the manual correction wheels on the projector. Also check that the projector is level and perpendicular to the screen.

How to clean the air filter?

Turn off and unplug the projector. Locate the air filter (often on the side). Remove it and clean it with a soft vacuum or lukewarm soapy water. Let it dry completely before reinstalling.

Can I project in 3D with the W351?

Yes, the projector supports DLP Link 3D. Use active DLP Link 3D glasses and compatible content (3D source). Enable 3D mode in the Display menu.

How to adjust focus and zoom?

Turn the focus ring on the lens for sharpness, and the zoom ring to enlarge/reduce the image. Adjust according to projection distance.

What to do if the projector does not turn on?

Check that the power cable is connected and the outlet works. Ensure the lamp is not at the end of its life (indicator blinks). If the problem persists, contact customer support.

How to use the standby function?

The projector enters standby after an adjustable period of inactivity (Energy Saving menu). You can also press the Power button to put it in standby manually. For complete shutdown, unplug the device.

What display modes are available?

Preset modes include: Presentation, Cinema, Game, sRGB, and User. You can select them in the Image menu according to your content.

How to reset the lamp counter?

After replacing the lamp, go to Settings > Lamp Settings > Reset Counter. Confirm to reset to zero. This allows tracking usage time.
