Safety & Warning Information

  1. Carefully read all instructions before operating this appliance.
  2. Do not use this appliance if the cord or plug is damaged, or if this unit is malfunctioned or damaged in any way.
  3. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  4. Always unplug from AC mains, for the following situations:

(a) If this appliance is left unattended or

(b) If not is use or

(c) When cleaning this appliance or

  1. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  2. The heating plate's surface is subject to residual heat after use. Do not touch the surface and any hot parts of the appliance during use or immediately after use. It will be very hot!

  3. This appliance is intended for household use only. Commercial use voids warranty.

  4. Do not immerse the appliance into water or other liquids except the inner pot.

  5. WARNING! Avoid spillage on the power connector.

  6. WARNING! Misuse of this appliance may cause injury.

  7. Beware of hot steam coming out of the appliance during operation when you open the lid. Keep hands and face away from the appliance to avoid steam.

  8. Always place the rice cooker on flat and stable surface before cooking. Do not expose rice cooker to water, humid conditions or heat sources. Do not expose Inner Pot to direct flame.

  9. While Inner Pot is not placed in the rice cooker, the control lever will not engage. Do not engage or press by force.

  10. Do not use the appliance around the perimeter of an inflammable object.

  11. Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local voltage before you connect to the appliance.

Note: If the Inner Pot is not sitting properly on the heating element's plate, the control lever cannot be engaged.

Cleaning & Maintenance

  1. Always switch off the appliance, unplug from the switch and let the appliance cool down under below situation:
    (a) When the appliance is not in use
    (b) Before cleaning;
    (c) Before putting on or taking off inner pot.
  2. Use a damp cloth to clean the outer body. Remove the Inner Pot, clean with dishwashing detergent or soft cleaning agent. Do not use abrasive material or corrosive chemical detergent for the cleaning of the appliance.
  3. Do not use wire brush or hard brush to clean, it may scratch and cause damage to the Inner Pot surface;
  4. Dry the rice cooker by using a soft cloth.
  5. Grains of rice and other foreign objects may stick on the heating plate of the cooker. These stains must be cleaned using a soft damp cloth. By doing so, the clean and dry contact area between the heating plate and the bottom of the Inner Pot will improve the cooking performance.
  6. Do not immerse the appliance into water or other liquids except the inner pot.

How to Use

  1. Measure and wash the required amount of rice in a separate container with measuring cup provided.
  2. Rinse the rice several times until the water in the bowl runs clear.

Note: Do not rinse the rice in inner pot, if the pot is used for washing the rice, the coating may be damaged or caused deform in bottom.

  1. Put washed rice into inner pot with the corresponding amount of fresh water as indicated in the table below:

  1. Wipe the water outside of inner pot, place the pot into the rice cooker to align inner pot with heating element correctly, turn inner pot gently to right and left. Important note: If inner pot is not placed properly, cooking will not begin.
  2. Connect power cord to:

(a) Main AC Power Socket.

(b) The Keep Warm Indicator will light up.

  1. Press Cook Switch Button to commence cooking operation. The Cooking Indicator will light up.
  2. When rice is cooked, Cooking Switch Button will lever up automatically. Keep Warm Indicator will light up to enter Keep Warm mode.

Tips:

  1. When the Keep warm Indicator lights up, do not open the lid immediately. Let it keep warm for another 20 minutes, then stir the rice.
  2. It is not advisable to keep warm for more than 6 hours. The rice will lose its moisture and turn yellowish.
  3. For tastier cooked rice, use filtered or mineral water to wash & cook rice.
