Frequently Asked Questions - Mojito Ice RGV

How do I prepare the bowl before first use?
Wash the bowl and paddle in warm soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly. Then freeze the empty bowl for at least 24 hours before making ice cream.
Can I use the ice cream maker without pre-freezing the bowl?
No, the bowl must be frozen solid (at least 24 hours) to achieve proper freezing. Using it without freezing will result in a runny mixture.
What is the maximum capacity for a single batch?
The bowl can hold up to 1.5 quarts (1.4 liters) of mixture. Do not overfill to allow room for expansion.
How long does it take to make ice cream?
Typically 20-30 minutes, depending on the recipe and desired firmness. For a softer consistency, 20 minutes is sufficient.
Can I add mix-ins like chocolate chips or nuts?
Yes, add them during the last 5 minutes of churning to evenly distribute without damaging the paddle.
How do I clean the machine?
Unplug and remove the bowl and paddle. Wash them in warm soapy water (top rack dishwasher safe). Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
Why is the motor slow or not starting?
Check that the bowl is properly locked in place and the lid is secured. If the mixture is too thick, the motor may struggle; reduce the batch size or add liquid.

Yes, the RGV Mojito Ice is designed for both ice cream and sorbet. Use a fruit puree base and follow the same process.
Where can I find replacement parts?
Replacement bowls, paddles, and other parts are available through RGV's official website or authorized retailers. Use only genuine parts.
