USER MANUAL SPT5A Bogen

Bogen Models SP58A and SPT5A are compact, high intelligibility, reflex horn-type loudspeakers. Their sturdy, weatherproof, all-metal housing permits installation either indoors or outdoors.

Model SP58A is an 8-ohm impedance horn speaker. The Model SPT5A has a built-in, tap impedance selector switch for matching the speaker power requirements to a 25V or 70V constant-voltage line.

INSTALLATION

Setting the Tap Selector Switch (Model SPT5A)

The tap set control is located on the cone. Use a flathead screwdriver to set the 5-position selector switch to the desired setting. See table (or label on the side of the speaker) for the tap settings.

MOUNTING

The detachable mounting base can be removed for use as a template to mark the desired location on the mounting surface. The horn's base can be angled to adjust for optimum projection. Use the butterfly screw to secure desired angle.

WIRING

A 12-inch, two-conductor cable, ribbed for polarity, is provided.

Bogen Models SP58A and SPT5A are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship from the date of sale to the original purchaser for the lifetime of the products. Any part of any Bogen product covered by this warranty that, with normal installation and use, becomes defective (as confirmed by Bogen upon inspection) during the applicable warranty period, will be repaired or replaced by Bogen, at Bogen's option, provided the product is shipped insured and prepaid to: Bogen Factory Service Department: 4570 Shelby Air Drive, Suite 11, Memphis, TN 38118, USA. Repaired or replacement product will be returned to you freight prepaid. This warranty does not extend to any of our products that have been subjected to abuse, misuse, improper storage, neglect, accident, improper installation or have been modified or repaired or altered in any manner whatsoever, or where the serial number or date code has been removed or defaced.

THE FOREGOING LIMITED WARRANTY IS BOGEN'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY AND THE PURCHASER'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY. Products that are out of warranty will also be repaired by the Bogen Factory Service Department -- same address as above or call 201-934-8500. The parts and labor involved in these repairs are warranted for 90 days when repaired by the Bogen Factory Service Department. All shipping charges in addition to parts and labor charges will be at the owner's expense. All returns require a Return Authorization number. For most efficient warranty or repair service, please include a description of the failure.
