Turn on the keyboard, select Bluetooth mode (switch to Bluetooth icon), then press and hold the Fn + 1 key for 3 seconds until the backlight flashes rapidly. Search for 'Keychron Q10' on your device and pair.

Can I use the keyboard while charging?

Yes, the Q10 supports pass-through wired mode via USB-C. You can type and charge simultaneously.

What switches are compatible with the hot-swap sockets?

The sockets support 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches (e.g., Gateron, Cherry, Kailh). Optical switches are not compatible.

How do I reset the keyboard to factory settings?

Disconnect the cable, turn the power switch to Off, then press and hold the Esc key while connecting the USB cable. Release after 5 seconds.

Is the Q10 compatible with macOS?

Yes, it includes dedicated macOS keycaps (Command, Option) and a system toggle switch for macOS/Windows layout.

How long does the battery last on a full charge?

Approximately 80 hours (without backlight) or 10-20 hours with RGB on, depending on brightness.

Can I program custom macros with VIA?

What is the purpose of the rotary knob?

You can purchase official Keychron keycap sets from the Keychron store or compatible OEM-profile PBT sets from third-party vendors.

QUICK START GUIDE

If you are a Windows user, please find the appropriate keycaps in the box, then follow the instructions below to find and replace the following keycaps.

Mac / Windows

1 Switch To The Right System

Please make sure the system toggle on the top center has been switched to the same system as your computer's operating system.

2 The VIA Key Remapping Software

Please visit caniusevia.com to download the latest VIA software to remap the keys. If the VIA software cannot recognize your keyboard, please reach out to our support to get the instruction.

3 The Layers

There are four layers of key settings on the keyboard. The layer 0 and layer 1 are for the Mac system. The layer 2 and layer 3 are for the Windows system.

If your system toggle is switched to Mac, then the layer 0 will be activated.

If your system toggle is switched to Windows, then the layer 2 will be activated. Remember that if you are using it in Windows mode, please make changes to the layer 2 instead of the top layer (the layer 0). This is a common mistake people are making.

4 The Backlight

Press fn + Q to change the lighting effect

Press fn + tab to turn the backlight on/off

5 Adjust The Backlight Brightness

Press fn + W to increase the backlight brightness

Press fn + S to decrease the backlight brightness

6 Warranty

The keyboard is highly customizable and easy to be rebuilt. If anything goes wrong with any of the keyboard components of keyboard during the warranty period, we will only replace the defective parts of the keyboard, not the whole keyboard.

7 Watch The Building Tutorial On Our Website

If you are building the keyboard for the first time, we highly recommend you watch the building tutorial video on our website first, then start building the keyboard yourself.

8 Factory Reset

Troubleshooting? Don't know what's going on with the keyboard?

① Try factory reset by pressing fn + J + Z (for 4 seconds).
② Download the right firmware for your keyboard from our website. Remove the power cable from the keyboard.
③ Remove the space bar keycap to find the reset button on the PCB.
④ Hold the reset key while plugging in the power cable and then release the reset key. The keyboard now will enter DFU mode.
⑤ Flash the firmware with the QMK Toolbox.
⑥ Factory reset the keyboard again by pressing fn + J + Z (for 4 seconds).
