What does 'OL' mean on the display?

OL stands for Overload. It indicates that the measured value exceeds the selected range. Switch to a higher range to get a reading.

How do I replace the battery in the D255?

Turn off the meter. Remove the screw on the back cover. Lift the cover and replace the old 9V battery with a new one (type 6F22). Reattach the cover and screw.

Can I measure AC current with this multimeter?

Yes, the D255 can measure AC current up to 10A. Set the dial to the ~A range and connect the red lead to the 10A jack. Do not measure current for more than 10 seconds above 5A.

What is the continuity test and how do I use it?
