General Information Please read carefully

This chimney is suitable to install on any rigid vertical space, over a gas or electric hotplate & can be used either in Internal Recirculation mode or outside ducting mode depending on the model. The installation must be carried out by qualified & competent person or IFB authorized person with the thorough knowledge of the parameters concerning the evacuation of the contaminated air. (In conformity to the rules concerning the evacuation of contaminated air if any as of now or in future). The company disclaims all liability for any damage or injury caused as a result of not following the Instructions for installation contained in the text.

Step 1:
Take out of the chimeny from the carton box then put it on a horizontal work table gently. Take out the reducer, air outlet, exhaust pipe, duct cover hook as well as oil cup from the carton box also.

Step 2:
Use 4pcs M4X8 screws to fix the air outlet onto the chimney top panel, fix the reducer to the air outlet if needed. Otherwise, fix the exhaust pipe into the air outlet make sure is connected tightly.

Step 3:
Matching the holes of duct cover and chimney housing, use fixer to tight this two parts with
Φ3.2×6 latin screw, as the direction of illustrated.

Step 4:
According to the size of the holes, drill 3 holes in level in the wall with 10mm diameter and 45-50mm in depth. Press the 3 expanding tube provided into the holes. Tighten the 3 M5×36 expanding screw with the cover hook to the expanding tube, make sure it is fixed enough and can't move.

Step 5:
Hang the entire chimney onto the duct cover hook, ensure the chimney is level and vertical.

Step 6:
Align the oil cup slot with the oil cup slot at the bottom of the chimney, and then gently push the oil cup horizontally.
After completely finished installation, check whether the chimney is hung up well, turn on the power supply to test the chimney works well, and confirm that all correction.

B. Operating instructions

When the power-on buzzer sounds "Ding", all the indicators and the pattern of the LED display are all light. After one second, the indicators lights off and the chimney in the standby state, and the LED display shows that the 12 clock pattern flashes at a frequency of 0.5 seconds.

State 1: Press the “ON/OFF” button once time, the corresponding indicator light of the button and all the button lights are on. The LED display shows the temperature pattern, indicating that the power is turned on. Press this button once again to turn off the power, turn off all indicators and turn off all function outputs, also turn off all patterns of the LED display (except the clock pattern and the temperature pattern). State 2: When the motor fan is working, press“Delay”button once to turn on the motor fan stop working time delay function. The corresponding indicator and clock pattern of the “delay” button flashes at a frequency of 0.5 seconds. The delay time is 99 seconds count down. After the delay time expires, all indicators and all function outputs are turned off, the chimney in the standby state; press the button twice to cancel the delay function.
State 1: Press the “LED Lighting” button once time to turn on the lighting function. The light turns on and the corresponding indicator of “LED Lighting” button light up, then press the “LED Lighting” button once again to turn off the lighting function, the lighting stops working and the corresponding indicator of this button is off. State 2: Press the “Set” button once in the standby state, enter the clock setting process, the clock bit displayed by the clock, press "+" or "-" to increase or decrease the clock value; press “Set”button twice to enter the clock bit setting process ,the minute digit of the clock pattern display, increase or decrease the minute value by pressing "+" or "-" ; press the “Set” button third times to confirm the clock setting, or automatically confirm & exit after flashing for 5 seconds. (In the setting state, press and hold "+" or "-" as the continuous key). Attention: The medium speed button is (+) and the low speed button is (-).
In the power off state, keep hold press the “Heat cleaning” button for 3 seconds to enter the heat cleaning process. The corresponding indicator of the “heat cleaning” button flashes and the work starts, meanwhile, the middle glass plate will be opened. The whole process time is 16 minutes; The first 14 minutes keep heating by electricity then stop heating, at the same time,the fan start working in the fast speed to flick oil off, this will last 2 minutes then the whole process finish, meanwhile close the middle glass plate, the chimney is in the standby state.
In the power-on state, press the “Fast speed” button once to start the motor fan fast run function, the motor works at the fast speed to suck the smoke and the corresponding indicator of the “Fast Speed” button lights up. The LED display pattern shows the output value of 19M3 and the air flow display in 99%. Press this button again to stop the function and the corresponding indicator of the “Fast speed” button is off, and the air flow and output value on the LED display are turned off also.
In the power-on state, press the “medium speed” button once to start the motor fan run in the medium speed and the corresponding indicator of the “medium speed” button light up. The LED display pattern shows the output value of 16M3 and the air flow display in 72%. Press the button again to stop the function and the corresponding indicator of the “medium speed” button is off, and the air flow and output value on the LED display are turned off also.
In the power-on state, press the “low speed” button once to start the motor fan low run function, the motor works at the low speed to suck the smoke and the corresponding indicator of the “low Speed” button lights up. The LED display pattern shows the output value of 13M3 and the air flow display in 50%. Press this button again to stop the function and the corresponding indicator of the “low speed” button is off, and the air flow and output value on the LED display are turned off also.
In the standby state, wave from left to right to launch the motor fan works in the fast speed and LED lighting turns on;when the motor fan running, wave from right to left so close all the functions, the chimney is in standby state.

Press the “Double Motor” button again, the left&right motor works in low speed, the LED display pattern show L1&R1, after 1 second, the output display is 18M3, and the air flow display 81%. Press again the “Double Motor” button, the both motors stop working and the corresponding indicator of the button is off, and the air flow & output display in LED display screen are turned off also.Attention: Left and right motor interlock (Double motor: fast low→stop)
In the power-on state, press the “Left Motor” button once to turn on the left motor fast running function. The left motor works in fast speed and the corresponding indicator of the “Left Motor” button lights up. The LED display pattern show L2. After 1 second, the output display is 16M3, and the air flow display 72%. Press the “Left Motor” button again, the left motor works in low speed; The LED display pattern show L1, after 1 second, the output display is 13M3, and the air flow display 59%. Press again the “Left Motor” button, the left motor stops working and the corresponding indicator of the button is off, and the air flow & output display in LED display screen are turned off also.Attention: Left and right motor interlock (left motor: fast low→stop)
In the power-on state, press the “Right Motor” button once to turn on the right motor fast running function. The right motor works in fast speed and the corresponding indicator of the “right Motor” button lights up. The LED display pattern show R2. After 1 second, the output display is 16M3, and the air flow display 72%. Press the “right Motor” button again, the right motor works in low speed, the LED display pattern show R1, after 1 second, the output display is 13M3, and the air flow display 59%. Press again the “Right Motor” button, the right motor stops working and the corresponding indicator of the button is off, and the air flow & output display in LED display screen are turned off also.Attention: Left and right motor interlock (Right motor: fast low→stop)

  1. Maintenance.

  2. The cleaning of the grease filter mesh.

Please do not use corrosive detergent for cleaning. The proper function of the unit is conditioned by the regularity of the maintenance. Please strictly follow the guidelines below.

Method 1: Put the mesh into hot water good quality soap /detergent solution & sock it for few minute depending on the how dirty its

Method 2: The filter melt can be cleaned in dishwasher, set the temperature at around 60^ .

1.2 Cleaning the fan and other surfaces of the appliance regularly using a cloth moistened with denatured alcohol or non abrasive liquid detergent.

1.3 Replace the LED Lighting.

Allow the lamp to cool down before replacing.

∅ To access the lighting, first use a thin iron sheet to lever the strip lighting set.

∅ Take off the defective lighting and replace it with a new one.

Replace the lighting set carefully, making sure it engages securely in position.

1.4 Notice of cleaning the cooker hood.

Please do not use the any abrasive Chemical /Detergent & Cleaning brush / cloth /Steel wool brush

∅Please do not use abrasive detergent as it will damage the body.

∅ Never immerse the motor any other electrical parts in water or other liquid.

Before cleaning, ensure the appliance is disconnected from mains power.

The active carbon filters are not washable nor reusable. and must be replaced depending use frequency but at maximum every four months.

Charcoal filter can' be used in every models, Model 615-c146-S-48 60/90 Cm & island, GS-HC-104 -90 & GS-105 -60/90 CM. Please note with Charcoal filter may not suitable for every installation site & cooking habits, chimney can't be operated at High speed with Charcoal filter, its advisable to consult with the concern IFB Technical person before using the charcoal filter for better suitability & performance of the product.

  1. Safety Warning.

The appliance is not intended for use by children or infirm person without supervisions.

∅Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with appliance.

∅Plug the power cord to power supply socket outlet with aground

The cooker hood is for home use only, not suitable for barbecue, roast shop and other commercial purposes.

The cooker hood and its filter mesh should be cleaned regularly according to the instruction in order to keep in good working order.

Do not use open flame, or allow oil cooked unattended beneath the appliance, as it can ignite and damage the appliance.

If there is any fault occurred with the appliance, please call after-sale service department to arrange a service engineer.

∅Please keep the kitchen room ventilated.

∅ Prior to any maintenance, cleaning operation, ensure that the cooker hood is disconnected from the power supply.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

The replaced power cord should be special one provided by manufacturer or seller.

∅If the plug or cord is damaged, please call after-sale service center.

∅There is a fire risk if cleaning is not carried out in accordance with the instruction; regulations concerning the discharge of air must be observed. ∅In case of damaged connecting wire, refer servicing to the manufacturer, after-sale service personnel or other qualified technicians.

Use the unit according to the instructions to avoid any fire hazard.

The exhaust air must not be introduced into a smoke flue or chimney that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas.

Please dispose of it at your local community waste collection/recycling centre and ensure it presents no danger to children while being stored for disposal. The Plug must be rendered useless and the cable cut off to prevent misuse.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Valid for /Built in Hobs/ Cook Tops/ Cooking Ranges/ Built in Ovens/Cooker Hoods

IFB Industries Ltd. ("The Company") warrants to the original domestic purchaser of the above mentioned Products ("Appliances") that it is free from defect in workmanship and materials. During the warranty period as mentioned below the new machine, all the parts of the machine excluding the consumable components listed in the Limitations of Warranty shall be replaced/ repaired free of charge on intimation to the company's rights and obligations. The company authorized service centre nearest to the place where the appliance is installed.

The warranty period for all the above mentioned products vary from products wise & model wise, please ref the table at end of the warranty terms for exact period of the each product category/models, Manufacturing defects will be rectified free of cost during the said period. However normal applicable repairing cum visiting charge would be applicable after one year in case warranty period is more than one year this warranty is subject to Limitations of Warranty.

Limitations of the Warranty

The warranty becomes null and void in following cases: If the warranty card is not fully and properly filled in and signed at the time of purchase/ installation by the company's authorized Dealer/ Service Engineer. Original Bill/ Invoice are mandatory to avail the warranty.

If the completed warranty card is not presented to the authorized IFB personnel at the time of repair.

This warranty extends only to the first consumer purchaser, and is not transferable.

Service / Repairing or use of non-genuine Spares / Modification carried out by person other than those authorized by IFB.

Failure/damage due to user's negligence towards minor maintenance such as cleaning of Filters, burners/Spark plug or not used in accordance with instructions given in the instructions manual for various products category mentioned above.

If the Appliance /Components Serial No. Sticker/Plate is removed/ missing/ altered /tampered.

Appliances taken out of India

Damages occurred due to improper electric circuits outside the Appliance & failure due to erratic power supply.

Failure/damage done to the appliance due to operation/uses in an abnormally corrosive Alkaline/ Acidic atmosphere, and or use of harmful chemicals.

If defects/damage arise with optional accessories like Extended Power Supply Cable/Frame etc thereof.

Failure/damage due to misuse/negligence/accidents/abuse, action of pests/rodents, fire, flood, earthquake, lightning or any other act of nature/natural calamities & damages traceable to alteration or unauthorized repairs.

Parts, replaced, or repaired under this warranty are warranted throughout the remaining of the original warranty period only. Company is not liable for any delay in servicing due to the reason that it is beyond the control of the company or any of its authorized service network.

There are certain locks in the various housing & other parts which may vary from model to model & product to products (for the validity of the warranty of the motor and other parts) and may have chances of being broken if housing is required to be opened for the purpose of the Services/Cleaning. The same will not affect the performance of the product and thus no claim to change the housing & other such parts will be accepted.

This warranty does not cover defects resulting from the accidents or damage while in transit or to our Service Centre. This warranty does not cover for consumables in all the product categories for example bulbs. (Any kind/ Type of Charcoal Filter, Metal Filters, Net Filter or any other material filter ,may be called by other name however used for the purpose of filtration) Spark Plugs any kind of pipe made of any material if supply with Cooker hood or other products categories.

All glass & Glass fitment parts, knobs, outer body/ body parts including the. Duet cover & any type of painting, plating/ dening enaming including rusting etc. or defects thereof is not cover in the warranty across all product categories. Peeling off, De-coloration, losing it original texture/shine of any type of black paint/ any type of coating & enameling (Across all product categories-if any painted/enameled part is used) on the Brass Burners Assembly set or any other material burners Assembly sets are not covered under warranty.

Discoloration of the Brass Burners or any other material Burners due to oxidation process will not cover under the warranty.

Denting, Deformation of the Brass burners sets any other material also not cover in the warranty

If Hob is fitted with FFD (Flame Failure Device) in case there is issue with Gas Supply like if dust & moisture is trace in that case warranty would not be applicable. In that case company would advice to customer to bypass the Flame failure device use the product as a normal Hob/cook top without Flame failure Device.

Failure due to use of High pressure Gas Regulator/ higher pressure of gas supply due to malfunction of the Regulator on bolite Gas, High pressure Pipe Fine Gas supply or use the wrong Gas ( Product is suitable to use with LPG & CNG only. (Delgault setting is LPG in case of CNG gas injector need (to be changed & may require adjustment on Gas valve also).moisture dust/ moisture in the Gas supply is not covered in the warrantee in that case repair will be done on the chargeable basis for Spares & Service.

Breakage of Glass due to using any kitchen utensils/ cooking appliances /aids (e.g. Bāti Cooker, Kaladu, Gas Tapdoor, Gas Oven, Paniyarrakal Maker etc,) which cover the burners and touch the glass surface directly on the Glass of Built in Hob /Cook tops, are excluded from warranty coverage. however glass is not cover in the warranty due to any reason.

Improper uses/ storage, misuse or abuse, accident or neglect, such as physical damage (cracks, scratches, rust breakage of glass etc.) To the surface of the product resulting from misuse/storage is not cover under the wty.

Damage non performance due to connecting the kitchen hood duct that is used for Exhausting fumes of other appliance / gadgets.

Contact with liquid, water, rain, extreme humidity or exposure to acidic atmosphere, sand, dirt or the like, extreme heat, or food.

Use of the Products, for commercial purposes or at places like institutions, hospitals, community halls, hotels, canicens, cafeteria's and other similar applications or subjecting the Product or Accessory to abnormal usage or conditions or not cover in the warranty.

Damage due to Attack of pests / rodents / birds making nests in the duct pipe or other acts are not cover under the warranty.

Accidents caused due to non maintenance of the product are not cover under this warranty Fire in cooker hood (Chimney) due to any reason what so ever it may be & non cleaning of filters / oil cup in case its fitted, or due to negligence (Example In case. Oil, Ghee & Fat is continue heating without uses & unattended may catch the fire, fire can further engulf / spared to cabinetry, Chimney. It's not cover in the warranty. No claim in this regards what so ever it may be accepted it out rightly rejected.

Accidents resulting from improper/ incorrect installation

Charcoal filters directly exposed to flame of cook top / hob.

Consumer using any kitchen utensils/ cooking appliances /aids which cover the burners and touch the glass surface directly of the Glass Built in Hob /Cook Tops , any damage due the same are excluded from coverage.

Fire & Damage what so ever it may be due to none removing of the protective PVC or any other type/material film, protective sheet or bag is not cover in the warranty it's excluded from the coverage.

Non performance and/or any accident due to wrong installation, none maintaining the gap between base of kitchen hood and upper most part of Cook top/ built in Hob. For the wall mounting models its 65cm-75cm & 50Cm -55CM in side wall mounted models & maximum 76 cm in case of Centre Island model.

Carcass dimensions pot as per specifications of the product in case built in appliances. Carcass for Built-in Oven / Built-in Microwave Oven is not ventilated from rear side or is not installed as built In.

The company & its Authorized Service network & agent undertakes no liability in the matter of consequential loss and / or damages caused to the customer or third party/pet animal/ any type of Property moveable/im- movable what so ever it may be due to failure/malfunction/fire of the product by use of. High pressure Gas Regulator/ higher pressure due to malfunction of the Regulator on bottle Gas, High pressure Pipe Gas supply or use the wrong Gas ( Product is suitable to use with LPG & CNG only ) & the moisture dust/ moisture in the Gas supply is not covered in the warranty.

Motor & other related part like Fan Electronic spares will not cover in the warranty in case customer do not regularly use the heat clean function & clean the oil cup. (Depending on the usage pattern-like family size, cooking & eating habits etc.) In the models having the heat clean function in Chimney/Cooker hood.

In case warranty period is more than a year after the period of one year, visit/ repair charge would be levied as and when the customer calls. However, the spare parts would still be covered under warranty and would not attract any charges through out the warranty period of the respective product as per warranty terms.

Any routine maintenance / cleaning / servicing visit would not be covered under this warranty, and would be provided on chargeable basis as per prevailing rates / charges.

Whether defective components are to be replaced / repaired shall be left to the sole discretion of the company. In case of replacement of a part, the defective part removed from the product becomes the property of IFB Industries Ltd.

The company & its Authorized Service Franchisee & agent undertakes no liability across all product categories in the matter of consequential loss and/or damages caused to the customer or third party/pct animal/any type of Property movable/im-movable what is so ever it may be due to failure / malfunction of the any products. Obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing the defective part as per warranty terms.

In case of no authorized service centre available in the area/ or in case service is to be provided beyond municipal/city limits, then services would be provided from the nearest authorized service area, a fixed charge would be applied (subject to distance arc minimum Rs.350/-) in addition to the actual to & fro charges along with local conveyance by the shortest route. However, in order to avail the services, the products could also be brought at the nearest authorized service centre by the customer at their own expenses and risk/ damage.

In case of change of city/ town from the original place of purchase at any given point of time, then the product would attract a warranty transfer cost of Rs. 350/(The money needs to be paid to the local authorized service franchisee). This does not include the cost of re-installation charges. However, if the product is being shifted within the municipal limit of the city then warranty transfer charges will not be applicable.

This appliance is designed for domestic use by individuals at home only.

These are the only warranty terms and conditions given by the company for the respective appliances.

The decision of IFB with regards to the settlement of all claims under this warranty shall be final. Any disputes subject to Calcutta court and or / other judicial/ or quasi judicial forums having jurisdiction over the registered office of the Company.

Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for the non-performance of its obligations under this agreement where such failure is due to force majeure i.e. due or attributable to any act of God, orders, restrictions or regulation of Government, Central or State, war working conditions, hostilities, riots, civil commotion, strike, lock out, labour trouble, explosion, pandemic or any other cause or circumstance of whatsoever nature beyond control.
