How does an evacuated tube solar collector work?
Evacuated tubes use a vacuum between two glass layers to minimize heat loss. The inner tube has a selective coating that absorbs solar radiation, heating a heat pipe or circulating fluid inside the tube.
What is the recommended tilt angle for installation?
For optimal performance, the collector should be tilted at an angle equal to your latitude, typically between 30° and 60°. Adjust for seasonal use.
Can the system provide hot water on cloudy days?
Yes, but with reduced efficiency. Evacuated tubes can still absorb diffuse solar radiation, but a backup heater (e.g., electric or gas) is recommended for continuous supply.
How long do the evacuated tubes last?
With proper maintenance, the tubes can last 15–20 years. The selective coating degrades slowly, but efficiency remains high for at least 10–15 years.
What maintenance is required?

When my old electric hot water system started leaking I decided to investigate hot water systems and after months of research I decided on a gas boosted solar hot water system using evacuated tubes. Neopower seemed to be offering the best quality and price so I went ahead last May 2018. My power bill has dropped by 50% and it is great having a shower knowing it is the sun that is providing the hot water!

So far so good the power consumption in the the 1st week is unbelievable, we have gone from using 30 to 40 kwhs a day to under 10. It actually looks better on the roof than most and the price was much better. anytime I needed to know anything from Neopower themselves they have been ever so helpful and the guys we bought and had it fitted by very helpful and nice. Extremely happy customers here.

Installer was very helpful in explaining everything, and when I asked him about Neopower system, he said it's a quite reliable system. All went well after I decided to purchase their system. Now it has been 8 months and I am very happy with my current electricity bills.

As such they offer me a price for supply & installation of a new SHW system - 250L Gas Boosted SHW with 25 Evacuated Tubes & Rinnai s20 gas booster, and would also take care of the rebate paperwork. 1 The coating on the inner tube converts sunlight into heat.
② Heat is transferred to sealed copper “heat pipes” containing liquid. The liquid is heated and forms a vapour which rises to the condenser.
