Frequently Asked Questions - APDU1335T APC

How do I connect the temperature sensor?
The APDU1335T accepts thermocouple type K or Pt100 RTD. Connect the sensor to terminals 1 and 2 (plus/minus) for thermocouple, or 1, 2, and 3 for RTD. Refer to the wiring diagram in the manual.
What is the default control mode?
The default control mode is ON/OFF. You can change it to PID through the configuration menu (holding the SET key for 3 seconds).
How do I set the temperature setpoint?
Press the SET key once. The setpoint value will flash. Use the up/down arrows to adjust. Press SET again to confirm.
What does the alarm indicator mean?
The red LED and a beep indicate an alarm condition. This can be a sensor error, over-temperature, or under-temperature. Check the alarm threshold settings (AL1, AL2) in the configuration menu.
Can I use this controller for heating and cooling?
Yes, the controller can be configured for either heating (reverse action) or cooling (direct action) via parameter in the configuration menu.
How do I perform auto-tuning?
Hold the up arrow key for 5 seconds while in normal mode. The display will show 'AT' and the controller will perform a PID auto-tuning cycle. This may take several minutes.
What is the maximum load for the relay output?
The relay is rated for 2 A at 30 VDC or 2 A at 250 VAC resistive load. Do not exceed these values to avoid damage.
How do I reset the controller to factory defaults?
Press and hold the SET and down arrow keys simultaneously for 10 seconds. The display will show 'rE' and then return to normal. All parameters will be reset.
What type of power supply is required?
The controller requires a 24 VAC/VDC power supply with a current capacity of at least 100 mA. Connect to terminals 8 and 9.
Can I use an external relay for higher loads?
Yes, the internal relay can drive an external contactor or solid-state relay (SSR). Ensure the external device's coil voltage matches the load requirements.

Inventory

Technical diagram showing various types of coiled electrical wires with numbered labels indicating component identification.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The Temperature and Humidity sensors are designed to add comprehensive environmental monitoring to a NetShelter® Rack PDU Advanced. To provide greater data accuracy, the sensors contain an embedded microchip that converts analog signals before sending the data to the NetShelter Rack PDU Advanced. The design enables easy plug and play installation. An RJ45 quick disconnect coupler and a RS-485 extension cable are included in each kit to allow for convenient location of sensors.

NOTICE

HAZARD OF EQUIPMENT DAMAGE

The Temperature Sensor and Temperature/Relative Humidity Sensors are designed to connect only to a NetShelter Rack PDU Advanced. Connecting the sensors to another device may result in damage.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.

NOTICE

An APDU1300 Sensor Hub (not provided) can be used to connect the APDU1335T Temperature Sensor Assembly or the APDU1335TH Temperature/Humidity Sensor Assembly to the NetShelter Rack PDU Advanced. Connecting the APDU1335T3H Temperature/Humidity Sensor Assemble to an APDU1300 Sensor Hub is not recommended.
