If you choose to perform the installation yourself, it is absolutely vital that the SlamPak™ be properly mounted to the vessel according to these instructions.
Failure to mount the enclosures presents a serious safety hazard in the event of a collision, rollover, or sudden deceleration.

We strongly recommend that you have your new SlamPak™ installed by your authorized JL Audio dealer. The installation professionals employed by your dealer have the necessary tools and experience to disassemble and reassemble your vessel properly. If you prefer to perform your own installation, please read this installation guide completely before beginning the process.

Open the storage compartment, and remove the insert.
Place the Amp Bracket on the vessel, as shown.

Align the edges on the rear of the Amp Bracket with the edges of the factory bracket, as shown.

Mark the three Amp Bracket mounting hole locations, and remove the Amp Bracket.

Using a 1/4" drill bit, carefully drill through the three marks made in the previous step.

With the Amplifier oriented as shown, with the wiring toward the rear of the Amp Bracket, secure the Amplifier to the Amp Bracket using four #8 - 32 x 1/4" Phillips Pan Head Screws.

Place the Amp Bracket back into position. Pass a 1/4 - 20 x 1" Serrated Flange Bolt through each of the mounting holes in the Amp Bracket and holes drilled in Step 12.
From inside the hull, slide a 1/4" Oversized Flat Washer and 1/4" Nylon Locknut over each of the three 1/4 - 20 x 1" Serrated Flange Bolts, and firmly tighten.

Loosen the factory cable tie in the grommet in front of the Amp Bracket. Pass the ring terminal end of the Power Harness through the grommet, leaving approximately 12" exposed, and tighten the cable tie.

Connect the Power Harness to the Amplifier.

Route the Power Harness down the starboard side of the vessel toward the battery, securing it with existing cable ties.

Disconnect the battery, and remove the battery from the battery tray.

Align the Circuit Breaker with the battery tray, as shown, and mark the mounting hole locations.
Using a 1/4" drill bit, carefully drill through the marks.

Securely mount the Circuit Breaker to the battery tray using a pair of 1/4 - 20 x 1" Hex Head Bolts with 1/4" Flat Washers from the inside of the tray and 1/4" Flat Washers and 1/4 - 20 Nylon Locknuts on the outside of the tray.
Press the red button on the Circuit Breaker to disengage it. Connect the positive power wire to one side and the 8 AWG extension to the other side.

Insert the wires from the MBT-CRXv2 into the 4-Pin Female Receptacle by sliding each pin into the rear of the connector, as shown. Pay close attention to the wire colors and corresponding pin locations, as listed below:
Pin 1 = Red Pin 4 = Blue/White
Pin 2 = Black Pin 3 = Blue

Carefully cut Template A from the clear sheet on the indicated line. Align the Template A with the top of the upper panel, as shown, and mark the hole location. Remove Template A.

Add the thick round gasket to the MBT-CRXv2 controller, aligning the small hole in the gasket with the alignment pin on the back of the controller, and guide the controller's wiring through the hole drilled in the previous step.
From the underside, add the thin round gasket, then secure the MBT-CRXv2 using the threaded fastening collar. Reference the illustration in the MBT-CRXv2 owner's manual for details.

Connect the Amplifier Harness to the Amplifier. Using a utility knife, carefully cut the red and white protective caps from the Front Input jacks of the Amplifier Harness. Trim each cut flush with the plastic outer body of each RCA jack. Slide a piece of Heat Shrink Tubing over each channel of the RCA interconnects and connect to the Front Input jacks of the Amplifier Harness. Position the Heat Shrink Tubing over the joined connections, and use a heat or torch to shrink the tubing.

Connect the Amplifier Harness to the MBT-CRXv2 wiring. Slide a piece of Heat Shrink Tubing over each RCA interconnects, and plug the interconnects into the MBT-CRXv2 wiring. Using a heat gun or torch, shrink the Heat Shrink Tubing over the RCA connections.

Secure the Amplifier Harness and Power Harness with the Marine Cable Ties, leaving access to the two speaker connectors.
Important: Do not position any Cable Ties within 2" of the connectors.

Locate the rivet below the induction tube. Use a center punch to tap in the center of the rivet, then carefully drill through the rivet head using a 1/8" drill bit.
Remove the factory threaded insert bracket from inside the hull.

Using a 15/32" drill bit, enlarge the adjacent hole.

STEP 32
Remove the trim panel from the body panel removed in Step 8.
Carefully cut Template B from the clear sheet on the indicated line. Align Template B to the back of the trim panel, as shown, and mark the two hole locations. Remove Template B.
Using a 1/4" drill bit, carefully drill through the marks for Hole 1 and Hole 2.

STEP 33
Using a 1-5/8" hole saw, enlarge ONLY Hole 2.

STEP 34
Reattach the trim panel to the body panel.
Using a 1/4" drill bit and Hole 1 as a guide, copy the location of Hole 1 onto the body panel.
Remove the trim panel from the body panel. Using a 3/8" drill bit, enlarge Hole 1 in the trim panel.

STEP 35
Using a 3/4" hole saw, enlarge the copied Hole 1 in the body panel.
