Frequently Asked Questions - SH16320N SWAN

How do I adjust the thermostat?
Turn the thermostat dial clockwise to increase the desired temperature. The heater will automatically cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.
What does the tip-over switch do?
If the heater is accidentally knocked over, the tip-over switch immediately cuts off power to prevent fire hazards. Make sure the heater is placed on a stable, level surface.
How often should I clean the air filter?
Clean the air filter at least once a month during heavy use. A clogged filter reduces heating efficiency and may cause overheating. Remove the filter and vacuum or wash it gently.
Can I use this heater in a bathroom?
No, this heater is not designed for damp environments. Do not use in bathrooms, near water, or with wet hands to avoid electric shock.
Why does the heater shut off unexpectedly?
The heater may have activated overheat protection. Check if the air intake or outlet is blocked. Allow the heater to cool down for a few minutes before restarting.
Can I leave the heater unattended overnight?
It is not recommended to leave the heater unattended while sleeping. Always turn off and unplug when not in use.
What is the maximum room size for this heater?
The 2000W setting is suitable for rooms up to approximately 20 m² (215 sq ft) with proper insulation. For larger rooms, additional heating may be needed.
How do I switch between heating modes?
Use the mode selector switch to choose between High (2000W), Low (1000W), or Fan Only (no heat). Ensure the thermostat is set above room temperature for heating.
Is the heater safe for use around pets?
Keep pets away from the heater to avoid burns or knocking it over. The tip-over switch helps, but supervision is recommended.
Where can I find replacement parts?
Contact Swan customer support or visit their official website to order spare parts like the heating element, fan motor, or filter.
