Frequently Asked Questions - P12CE-V2 ElectriQ

How do I install the ElectriQ P12CE-V2 air conditioner?
Install the unit near a window. Attach the exhaust hose to the back of the unit and connect the window sealing kit to the hose. Adjust the window kit to fit your window opening, close the window to secure it. Ensure the unit is on a level surface and plug into a grounded outlet.
How often should I clean the filter?
Clean the washable mesh filter every 2 weeks under normal use. Remove the filter from the back of the unit, wash with lukewarm water, dry completely, and reinstall. A dirty filter reduces cooling efficiency.
Why is my air conditioner not cooling?
Check if the exhaust hose is properly installed and not blocked or kinked. Ensure the filter is clean. The room size may be too large for the 12000 BTU capacity. Also check that the set temperature is lower than room temperature.
What does the error code E1 mean?
Error code E1 indicates a room temperature sensor fault. Try turning the unit off and unplugging for 5 minutes, then restart. If the error persists, contact customer support.
How do I use the timer function?
With the unit on, press the Timer button on the remote or control panel. Use the +/- buttons to set the desired time (0.5 to 24 hours). Press Timer again to confirm. The unit will turn off after the set time.
How do I drain the water from the unit?
In humid conditions, the unit may collect water. For continuous drainage, attach a garden hose to the drain outlet at the back. For manual drainage, remove the drain plug and empty the water bucket inside. Do this every few hours in very humid weather.
Can I use the air conditioner without the exhaust hose?
No, the exhaust hose must be installed to expel hot air outside. Using the unit without the hose will recirculate hot air and reduce cooling performance.
How do I clean the exterior?
Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use harsh chemicals or spray water directly onto the unit. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
What is the recommended room size for this unit?
The ElectriQ P12CE-V2 is suitable for rooms up to 25-30 square meters (approx. 270-320 sq ft). For best results, the room should be well-sealed and shaded.
Why is the remote control not working?
First, check that the batteries are inserted correctly and not depleted. Point the remote directly at the unit’s receiver window, within 5 meters. If still not working, try resetting the remote by removing batteries for 30 seconds.
