How do I clean my Homedics ST-4 foot bath?

Unplug the device, empty the water, and wipe the interior and exterior with a soft damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.

Can I use the foot bath without water?

No, never operate the foot bath without water as it may damage the heating element and pose a safety risk. Minimum water level should cover the bottom heating plate.

How long can I use the foot bath continuously?

The device has an automatic shut-off feature after approximately 30 minutes of continuous use for safety. Let it cool before restarting.

What type of massage does the ST-4 provide?

The foot bath offers a combination of gentle vibration and invigorating bubble massage to soothe tired feet. Some models may include a pedicure attachment.

Is the foot bath safe for people with diabetes?

Consult your doctor before use if you have diabetes, poor circulation, or sensory impairment. The water temperature should not exceed 40°C (104°F).

Can I add bath salts or essential oils?

Yes, but only dissolve a small amount in water first. Avoid oil-based products that may damage the plastic. Clean thoroughly after use.

Why does my foot bath stop heating after a few minutes?

This is normal – the thermostat maintains a safe temperature. If it stops prematurely, check water level (must cover heating element) or if the timer has shut off the device.

Can I use the foot bath while charging?

The foot bath is corded and plugs directly into a wall outlet. It does not have a battery, so it must be used with the power cord connected.

Where can I find a replacement power cord?

Contact Homedics customer service for a genuine replacement cord. Using an unauthorized cord may void the warranty and pose safety hazards.

How do I store the foot bath?

Empty and dry the foot bath completely. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Coil the cord loosely and avoid bending it sharply.

• We recommend using this unit for no longer than 30 minutes at a time. Extensive use could cause the product to overheat. Should this occur, discontinue use and allow the unit to cool before operating.
• If you experience pain in a muscle or joint for a prolonged period of time, discontinue use and consult your doctor. Persistent pain could be a symptom of a more serious condition.
• NEVER use any footbath on open wounds, discolored areas, or any area of the body that is swollen, burned, inflamed or where skin eruptions or sores are present.

• Use of this product should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort result, discontinue use and consult your physician.
  • NEVER use while sleeping or drowsy.
  • Always unplug the unit when filling or moving the unit.

• Ensure that your hands are dry when operating the controls or removing the plug.

• This product should NEVER be used by any individual suffering from any ailments that would limit the user's capacity to operate the controls.
• This product should NEVER be used by any individual suffering from any ailments that would limit or altogether inhibit the user's capacity to feel or have any sensation in the body part that the product is being used for.
• Consult your doctor before using this unit if you have diabetes, as diabetes can contribute to foot problems including decreased feeling or circulation to the feet. Given the existing risk of foot problems for diabetics, this unit must not be used prior to consulting your doctor.

3 Prong Grounded Plug

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a 3 prong grounded plug. This plug will fit in an outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.

Instructions for Use

1. Ensure that the unit is unplugged before filling with water. Fill with warm water to the fill line located on the inside side of the tub (See Figure 1). Do not fill higher than fill line.
2. Plug the unit into a 120 volt household outlet.

5. Press control button a second time for Massage/Soothing Heat
6. Press control button a third time to turn footbath off

Massage/Heat: To enjoy a warm water massage, select the desired function and place feet into footbath.

Soothing Heat: To use the soothing heat, select function:

Massage/Soothing Heat and place foot over the center

console. Use more or less pressure to adjust for comfort.

1. Sit down and place your feet in the spa.
2. If preferred, you can insert the rollers into the base of the footbath (See Figure 1). Then, enjoy a deep penetrating massage by sliding feet back and forth over the massage rollers.
3. To empty: First, unplug the unit. Tip the unit, allowing water to pour out along the drain spout. DO NOT pour water over the control button. (See Figure 1).

Maintenance

To Clean

Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a soft, damp cloth and mild cleansing agent.

• After cleaning, wipe surfaces with a dry cloth.
- Never use strong abrasives, detergents or cleansing agents.
• Periodically straighten cord if it becomes twisted.

To Store

Unplug the appliance from the outlet and allow to cool and dry.

• Store in its box or a clean, dry place.
  • To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around the unit.
• Do not hang the unit by the power cord.
• This appliance is designed for household use only.

Hofedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. Hofedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Relations.

HofMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers. The subsequent consumer purchaser of the product from a retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HofMedics in any way beyond the latms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse, accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation, unauthorized repairs or modifications, improper use of electrical/power supply, loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer's recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions, loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise dwelling parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HofMedics. This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY, HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY IS REQUIRED. MOHIL THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND TO BE DELUCTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PLIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately cease and terminate as to any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced, altered, or modified, without the prior express and written consent of HoMastics.
