Frequently Asked Questions - SILENT16 ElectriQ

How to clean the air filter?
Switch off the unit and unplug it. Remove the filter from the back, wash it with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly before reinstalling. Clean every 2 weeks for optimal performance.
How to set the timer?
Press the TIMER button on the remote or control panel. Use +/- to set the desired hours (1-24). The unit will turn on or off after the set time depending on current state.
What does error code E1 mean?
E1 indicates a room temperature sensor fault. Unplug the unit for 10 minutes and plug back in. If the error persists, contact ElectriQ support.
How to drain water from the unit?
In dehumidify mode, water may accumulate. Use the continuous drain hose if provided, or manually drain by removing the bottom plug. Self-evaporation reduces draining frequency in cool mode.
Remote control not working, what to do?
Check batteries (replace if needed) and ensure there is no obstruction between remote and unit. Point directly at the receiver. If still fails, reset the unit by unplugging for 5 minutes.
What is the power consumption?
The cooling power consumption is approximately 1100W, which is about 1.1 kWh per hour of operation. Actual consumption depends on settings and environment.
Is the air conditioner quiet?
Yes, the SILENT16 is designed for low noise. In low fan mode it operates at 44 dB, comparable to a quiet library. High mode is 52 dB, similar to normal conversation.
What type of refrigerant is used?
This unit uses R290 refrigerant, which is environmentally friendly but flammable. Do not puncture the refrigerant circuit. Service must be done by qualified personnel.
How to install the window kit?
Extend the window kit to fit your window opening. Place the exhaust hose from the unit to the kit. Ensure a tight seal. Some models require a 3M tape for security. Refer to manual for detailed steps.
What is the warranty period?
ElectriQ offers a 2-year warranty for this product. Register your purchase online to extend. Warranty covers manufacturing defects but not misuse or normal wear.

Note: The window kit is only designed to be installed with sliding or sash windows or doors. The window kit is not designed or to be used with any other style of windows. However, the fish tail adaptor can be used with most windows / doors. When using the cooling mode ensure that the opening left is as small as possible. The best form of installation is through a wall duct. By properly venting, you expel hot air from your room while efficiently cooling it.

Important safeguards

The length of the soft hose extends from 28 cm to 150 cm. If hose is extended above this length the unit may malfunction and this can invalidate the warranty. The outlet vent must be well ventilated and not obstructed as this will cause the unit to overheat. Avoid bending the air hose more than 30 degrees

OPERATION AND SETTINGS

This portable air conditioner boasts 3 functions: cooling, dehumidifying and fan. The fan has two speeds: high and low. Temperature range settings are: 16 - 31^ . The unit will also display operating function, temperature, fault diagnostic and protective functions on the LCD screen.

3. Multi protective function

3.1. Frost Protection Function:

In cooling, dehumidification or economic power saving mode, if the temperature of the exhaust pipe is too low, the machine will automatically enter protection status; if the temperature of the exhaust pipe rises to a certain temperature, it can automatically revert to normal operation.

3.2. Overflow Protection Function:

When water in the water pan exceeds the warning level, the machine will automatically sound an alarm, and the LDC temperature display area will show "FL". At this point, you need to move the drainage pipe connecting the machine or the water outlet to sewer or other drainage area to empty the water (details see Drainage Instructions at the end of this chapter). After the water is emptied, the machine will automatically return to the original state.

3.3. Automatic Defrosting (heating and cooling models have this function):

The machine has automatic defrosting function: during defrosting, heating symbol on the display screen will flash.

3.4. Automatic Thermal Protection:

To protect the service life of the machine, the machine has automatic thermal protection in heating mode. During the protection period, the compressor and the lower motor will stop operation and will automatically return to normal heating state after the temperature of the machine recovers.

3.5. Protection Function of the Compressor

To increase the service life of the compressor, it has a 3-minute delay booting protection function after the compressor is turned off.

WATER-DRAINAGE

1. Manual drainage:

1.1 When the internal water tank is full the unit will stop working.

natural_image Line drawings of two different air purifiers with cooling fans and a water bottle, no text or symbols present

Note: This model has a self-evaporative function, which reduces the need to empty the water tank. If the unit is vented correctly most of the water is reused to cool the condenser coils and any excess is evaporated. Please do not use continuous drainage if you intend to use the self-evaporating facility.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning:

Before cleaning and maintenance, turn off the machine and unplug the plug.

Clean the surface

Clean surface of machine with a wet soft cloth. Don't use chemicals, such as benzene, alcohol, gasoline, e otherwise, the surface of the air conditioning will be damaged or even the whole machine will be damaged
