Before starting any installation project please consider the following:

  • Prior to drilling into walls, check there are no hidden electrical wires or cables or water supply pipes with the aid of an electrical detector.
    • If you use power tools do not forget:

- Wear eye protection.

- Unplug equipment after use.

  • This product must not be modified in any way as this will invalidate the guarantee.
  • These fittings need to be installed in accordance with and meet the requirements of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and Scottish Byelaws 2004.

Installation.

I. Ensure that the screws on the hinge discs are tight prior to fixing the seat to the pan.

  1. Screw the bolts into the threaded holes on the underside of the hinge discs.

  2. Slide the plastic washers down the bolts so that they rest between the hinge discs and the pan surface.

  3. Feed the threaded bolt through the holes on the WC pan and then slide the conical rubber washer up the bolt ensuring that the rounded surface meets the pan surface.

  4. Slide the steel washer up the bolt onto the conical rubber washer and secure with the steel wing nuts.

NOTE: Final adjustment of the seat position is possible prior to the wing nuts being fully tightened. please see over the page.

Adjusting the hinges:

The WC seat hinges are adjustable in two ways:

I. The fixing bolts can be screwed into either of the two threaded holes, on the underside of the hinge disc.
2. Loosen the screw that fixes the disc to the main hinge assembly allows rotation of the hinge disc. By rotating the discs, you can adjust the distance between the two threaded bolts that fit into the holes on your WC pan.

Maintenance.

We recommend that both timber surface and the hinges of your toilet seat are regularly cleaned with a soft damp cloth and mild soap solution.

  • Do not scrub or scour the surfaces or use abrasive cleaning materials.
  • Do not use bleach or cleaners containing bleach.
  • WARNING: Do not stand on the lid or ring of your toilet seat (for example when decorating the bathroom).
