- Be very careful when opening it.
- Take the hairdryer out of the packaging.

How the ion effect works
Molecules contained in the air drawn into the device are negatively charged (ionised) in the hairdryer and are transported onto your hair along with the “hot air”.
Negative ions break down water droplets in your hair into smaller drops so that they evaporate faster.
Use
The advantage: Your hair...
- becomes smoother, softer and more supple.
- regains its shine.
• is easier to brush and style.
• is less prone to matting, breaking and knotting.
• is better protected against UV rays.
The absorption of moisture also:
• revitalises the structure of your hair and
- reduces the accumulation of static charge.

natural_image
Three grayscale diagrams showing a sphere resting on a vertical pipe, with no text or symbols present. The negative ions in the hot air come into contact with the water droplets in your hair.
The negative charge of the ions breaks the hydrogen bonds in the water drops so that the water breaks down into smaller units.
"Dry" hair has a rough, scaly surface.

Only this fine moisture can penetrate your hair, and smooth and seal the surface.
Use
Styling nozzle
- The enclosed styling nozzle 3 lets you use the air stream for styling. The styling nozzle can be rotated to any position.
- You can also use the hairdryer without the styling nozzle.
Attaching the styling nozzle and switching on the hairdryer

A slight odour may be produced during first use. This is no cause for concern. Make sure that there is adequate ventilation, e.g. by opening a window.
-
Push the styling nozzle 3 onto the air outlet until it locks into place (see fig. B).
-
Insert the mains plug into a properly installed socket.
In the process, make sure that the hairdryer is switched off.
- Use the fan speed switch 4 and the heat setting switch 5 to set the desired speed or setting.
Both switches have three different settings, which offer the following possibilities:
| Fan speed switch Heat setting switch Function | ||||
| 0 + any = OFF | ||||
| * | + | \ | = | low air stream + cold air setting |
| ♣ | + | \ | = | high air stream + cold air setting |
| * | + | sss | = | low air stream + low heat setting |
| ♣ | + | sss | = | high air stream + low heat setting |
| * | + | \( }\) | = | low air stream + high heat setting |
| ♣ | + | }\) | = | high air stream + high heat setting |
- For fast drying, it is recommended that you set the hairdryer to a higher heat setting for the first few minutes. To do so, set the heat setting switch to position .... Then switch down to the lower setting and style your hair as desired.
- Use the cold air function to firm up curls or waves by pushing the cool shot button 6 for a burst of cool air.
The air blown out of the hairdryer will be lukewarm, and so it is not entirely cold.
- You can push the cool shot button at the low or high fan heater setting.
- Hold the cool shot button down during use.
- The enclosed styling nozzle lets you use the air stream for styling. In the process, you can turn the styling nozzle to any position.
- Before you comb out your hair, let it cool off first so that your hair style is able to set.
