How do I pair the MIHO004 adapter with the MiHome Gateway?

Ensure the adapter is within 10 metres of the Gateway and unobstructed. Then use either the browser interface on a PC/smart device or the MiHome App. Follow the on-screen instructions, pressing the button on the adapter until it appears as paired.

What is the maximum power the adapter can handle?

The adapter supports a maximum load of 3000W and 13A at 230-250V AC, 50Hz.

Can I use the adapter outdoors?

No. The adapter is designed for indoor use only. Operating temperature range is 0°C to 40°C.

What should I do if my adapter fails to pair?

Try again. Radio interference from other devices or obstructions may cause failure. Move the adapter closer to the Gateway and reduce obstacles. If problems persist, consult the help page at mihome4u.co.uk/help.

How far can the adapter be from the Gateway?

In open air, the maximum range is 25 metres. Walls, furniture, and other obstructions reduce this distance.

Does the adapter work with other smart home systems?

No. It is specifically designed to work with the MiHome Gateway and the MiHome ecosystem.

What type of plug does the adapter have?

The adapter features a UK format plug and socket complying with BS5733 and BS1363 standards.

Can I plug two adapters into adjacent sockets?

No. Keep several metres distance between individual adapters to avoid interference. Do not plug them into adjacent sockets on a wall or extension lead.

What does the adapter monitor?

It monitors the power consumption of the appliance plugged into it. The data is accessible via the MiHome dashboard.

Is the adapter energy-saving?

The adapter itself is designed for low power consumption, but its primary function is monitoring. It helps you identify energy usage patterns to save electricity.

The Monitor adapter is part of the MiHome home automaon range. The Monitor adapter allows you to monitor the power being used by an aached appliance. It links to the MiHome Gateway which provides the communicaons between your adapter and the internet.

Pairing the Monitor Adapter

To use the adapter in your MiHome system it must be rst "paired" with the Gateway.

Please ensure that your device is in range of the Gateway when you pair it. We suggest 10 metres or so as unobscured by furniture or walls etc. as possible.

You have two opons to pair your adapter to the Gateway: either via a bowser on a PC or smart device or via your smart device App.

You will need to have created an account and already installed the MiHome Gateway that you will use.

Via a Browser:

Select the opon to pair a new device and choose the Monitor adapter to be registered.

Follow the instrucons to hold down the buon on the front of the housing of the adapter unl you see the device come up on the screen as being paired.

Via the App on your smartphone:

Follow the instrucons on the screen when you run the App to pair a Monitor adapter.

Please note that aer pairing, your adapter may be moved into dierent locaons. You should be able to control it at a range of at least 25 metres in open air. Less if behind furniture or a wall etc.

If you are having trouble with the range move your adapter closer to the Gateway or move an obstrucon that may aect the signal.

Using the Dashboard

You can view and control your paired device by selecng the Dashboard opon on your App or via the browser.

Troubleshooting

1. Please ensure that you do not plug MiHome adapters into adjacent sockets in a wall socket or extension lead. There should be several metres distance between individual adapters.

2. Any local source of radio noise may eect operaon of the system. This may include poorly regulated fans or other devices running electric motors, noisy power supplies or other low quality electrical and electronic equipment including LED lights.

3. If your aempt to pair and adapter fails please try again. Occasionally the signals between devices may be subject to noise or other outside interference which is common for radio systems of this nature.

4. The range of communicaon between your Gateway and the device will be aected by anything in between that may obscure the signal such as furniture, walls, ceilings, windows, doors etc.
