The green LED indicates that the surge protection is working and your equipment is protected. If it turns off, surge protection may be compromised and the strip should be replaced.

Can I use this power strip for high-power devices like heaters?

No. This strip is rated for 1875W maximum (15A). High-power devices like space heaters, air conditioners, or refrigerators should be plugged directly into a wall outlet to avoid overload.

Does the PM5V-GR have a battery backup?

No. This model is a surge protector only, not an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). It will not keep your devices running during a power outage.

What is the cord length and can I replace it?

The cord is 6 feet (1.8 meters) and is permanently attached. It cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the entire unit must be replaced.

The PM5U offers 2 USB ports for safe charging of all USB enabled devices, including smartphones, tablets, and digital cameras. The PM5T provides telephone line protection from dangerous "backdoor" surges that travel along datalines. And the PM5V adds coaxial cable dataline protection for your valuable AV equipment.

Multi-stage surge protection circuitry ensures protection is guaranteed for life. All three power modes (L-N, L-G, N-G) are protected.
