Frequently Asked Questions - Garcia FAKIR

How often should I replace the dust bag?
Replace the dust bag when the indicator light turns red or every 1-2 months for optimal performance. Use only genuine Fakir type FA 200 bags.
How do I clean the HEPA filter?
Remove the filter and rinse it under lukewarm water. Let it air dry completely for 24 hours before reinstalling. Do not use detergents or put it in the dishwasher.
Why is the vacuum losing suction?
Check if the dust bag is full, the filter is clogged, or there is a blockage in the hose or nozzle. Also ensure the brush roll is not tangled with hair.
Can I use the vacuum on hardwood floors?
Yes, the floor nozzle has a brush setting suitable for hardwood. Ensure the bristles are not worn to avoid scratching.
What should I do if the cord does not rewind fully?
Unplug the vacuum, gently pull out the cord a bit, then press the rewind button fully. Avoid pulling the cord too fast or rewinding with obstacles.
Is the vacuum suitable for pet hair?
Yes, it works well on pet hair. Use the upholstery brush for furniture and check the brush roll regularly for hair buildup.
How do I replace the brush roll?
Turn off and unplug the vacuum. Remove the bottom plate, slide out the old brush roll, and insert the new one. Ensure the belt is correctly seated.
What does the thermal overload protection do?
If the vacuum overheats, it automatically shuts off. Unplug it, let it cool for at least 30 minutes, and check for blockages before restarting.
Can I use a third-party dust bag?
It is recommended to use only Fakir original bags to maintain filtration and warranty. Third-party bags may fit poorly or reduce performance.
Where can I find spare parts like filters or bags?
Spare parts are available on the Fakir official website or authorized dealers. Use the model number 'Garcia' to find compatible parts.
