Frequently Asked Questions - SW2020R SWAN

How do I install the washing machine?
Remove all transport bolts and packaging. Connect the water inlet hose to a cold water tap, attach the drain hose to a suitable drain, and plug into a grounded outlet. Level the machine by adjusting the feet.
What is the maximum load capacity?
The maximum load capacity is 7 kg for cotton programs. Overloading may reduce washing performance and cause excessive vibration.
How do I clean the detergent drawer?
Pull out the drawer, press the release button to remove it, rinse under warm water with a brush to remove detergent residues, then dry and reinsert.
Why is the machine not draining?
Check if the drain hose is kinked or blocked. Clean the drain pump filter located at the bottom front of the machine. Ensure the drain hose height is between 60-100 cm.
How do I use the delay start function?
Select your program, then press the Delay Start button repeatedly to set the desired delay (1-24 hours). Press Start/Pause to activate. The machine will start automatically after the set time.
What does the child lock do?
The child lock prevents accidental changes to the settings during a cycle. To activate, press and hold the two designated buttons for 3 seconds until the lock symbol appears.
How often should I descale the machine?
Descaling frequency depends on water hardness. In hard water areas, use a descaling agent every 3 months. Run a 60°C cotton cycle without laundry, adding descaling powder to the detergent compartment.
Why is the machine vibrating excessively?
Ensure all transport bolts are removed. Check that the machine is level on the floor. Avoid unbalanced loads by mixing large and small items. Reduce spin speed if necessary.
Can I wash delicate fabrics like wool?
Yes, use the Wool program at 30°C or cold. Use a mild detergent designed for wool. Avoid high spin speeds.
What should I do if the display shows an error code?
Refer to the user manual for specific error codes. Common codes: E01 means door not closed, E02 means no water supply. Try turning the machine off and on. If persists, contact customer service.
