How do I transfer photos from my Samsung TL240 to a computer?

Connect the camera to your computer using the USB cable provided. Turn on the camera and set it to PC mode (usually appears automatically). Your computer should recognize the camera as a removable drive, allowing you to copy files.

What memory card does the Samsung TL240 use?

The Samsung TL240 supports MicroSD and MicroSDHC memory cards up to 16GB. Insert the card with the gold contacts facing down into the slot.

How do I charge the battery?

The TL240 uses a lithium-ion battery (model SLB-10A). Remove the battery and place it into the charging cradle or use the AC adapter (if available). The LED turns red while charging and green when full.

Can I record videos with the Samsung TL240?

Yes, the camera can record 720p HD video at 30 frames per second. Press the video record button (marked with a red dot) to start/stop recording. Audio is recorded via the built-in microphone.

How do I set the date and time?

Go to the Menu and select Settings (gear icon). Choose Date/Time Set and use the navigation keys to adjust year, month, day, hour, and minute. Press OK to confirm.

What does 'Smart Auto' mode do?

In Smart Auto mode, the camera automatically analyzes the scene and selects the best settings from a range of scene modes (like Portrait, Landscape, Night, etc.). It's ideal for beginners or quick shots.

How do I reduce red-eye in photos?

Enable Red-eye reduction in the flash settings. On the TL240, press the Flash button repeatedly until the red-eye icon appears (a eye with a slash). The camera will fire a pre-flash to reduce red-eye.

My camera won't turn on. What should I do?

First, ensure the battery is charged and inserted correctly. If the battery is low, recharge it. If the camera still doesn't turn on, try a reset by removing the battery and memory card for 1 minute. Also check the battery contacts for dirt.

How do I delete photos from the memory card?

In playback mode, press the Delete button (trash icon) while a photo is displayed. Choose Delete One to remove that image, or go to Menu > Delete All to format the card (warning: erases all files).

Is the Samsung TL240 compatible with HDMI?

Yes, the camera has a Micro HDMI port (Type D). You can connect it to an HDTV using a Micro HDMI cable to view photos and videos on a larger screen.

1 Press [POWER] to turn your camera on or off. The initial setup screen appears when you turn on your camera for the first time.

Capturing photos or videos

Taking a photo

1 Make sure that the camera is in the ☐ mode (Auto mode).
2 Align your subject in the frame.
3 Press [Shutter] halfway down to focus automatically.

A green frame means the subject in focus.

4 Press [Shutter] all the way down to take the photo.

Recording a video

1 Select →
2 Align your subject in the frame.
3 Press [Shutter]. To pause, select!! To resume, select●.
4 Press [Shutter] again to stop recording.

Viewing photos

1 Press [Playback].
2 Draw a horizontal bar left or right, or select ◀ or ▶ to scroll through photos. You can also view files by tilting your camera.

Viewing videos

1 Press [Playback] and select ▶
2 Use the following icons to control playback.

Selecting a shooting mode using motion recognition

In Shooting mode, tilt the camera while touching and holding 🔒.

Access the Movie mode

Motion recognition may not work well if you hold the camera parallel to the ground.

Transferring files to a PC (Windows)

1 Connect the camera to your computer with the USB cable.

Make sure that the PC Software option is set to On in the settings menu.

2 Turn on the camera.

The computer recognises the camera • automatically.

- For Windows Vista, select Run iStudio.exe from the AutoPlay window.

3 Select a folder on your computer to save new files.

If your camera has no new files, the window to save new files will not appear.

4 Select Yes.

New files will be transferred to your computer. You can now use the Intelli-studio program.
