How do I reset the FM1D20 timer to factory defaults?

Press and hold the RESET button (located on the front panel) for 5 seconds. The display will clear and all settings will revert to factory defaults.

What type of battery does the FM1D20 use for backup?

The FM1D20 uses a rechargeable NiMH battery that maintains time and programs during power outages. It takes about 24 hours to fully charge.

Can I use the FM1D20 with LED bulbs?

Yes, the FM1D20 is compatible with LED bulbs, as long as the total load does not exceed the maximum rating (15A resistive). For best performance, use a minimum load of 40W incandescent equivalent.

How do I set the current time and day?

Press SET once. Use the + and - buttons to adjust hour, then press SET again for minutes, and again for day. Press SET to confirm.

Why is my timer not turning off at the programmed time?

Check that the program schedule is correctly set and that the timer is not in MANUAL OVERRIDE mode. Press MODE until 'AUTO' appears on the display.

What is the maximum number of on/off programs I can set?

You can set up to 7 on/off events per day, each with different times. The timer runs on a 7-day schedule.

How do I enable random vacation mode?

Press RANDOM button. The display will show a random symbol. This mode turns lights on and off at random times to simulate occupancy. Press RANDOM again to disable.

The display is dim or blank. What should I do?

First, ensure the timer is receiving power. Check the circuit breaker. If power is present, the backlight may be off. Press any button to wake the display. If still dim, the battery may need charging.

Can I use the FM1D20 in a 3-way switch configuration?

The user can change these pro - grams.

Individual program, P--

Under the menu option P-- you have the option of creating a user-defined program.

This program can be changed at any time. There are up to 20 memory locations available for 10 OFF and 10 ON commands.

You can allocate a corresponding weekday or week block to each memory location.

Sequence to follow after setting time in the Reset mode.

Once selected the program desired there are following options:

Menu : terminate programming

OK: Going through pre-set programs to modify selection (any program ON or OFF can be modified by using "+ "or "-" -" keys and confirming with OK) or accept it with OK key to go the next free memory location in order to add new user defined pro - grams (see pg 30).

e.g. after selecting P02 you should also program:

23:00 OFF (prog06)

Note: Switching programmes are deleted in ON-OFF pairs. If you delete a single ON instruction, the corresponding OFF instruction is also deleted.

The +1h key is for the change to daylight savings time.

• By pressing the +1h key 1 hour is added to the current time.
• +1h is shown on the display.
• By pressing +1h again 1 hour is subtracted from the current time.

The "+"key serves to change over between automatic, AUTO to override (OVR) ON and override (OVR) OFF (CH1).
