How do I clean the blender jug?

Wash the jug in warm soapy water or place it on the top rack of the dishwasher. Do not immerse the motor base in water.

Can the blender crush ice?

Yes, the IZ-6501 can crush ice. Use the pulse function in short bursts for best results.

What is the maximum capacity?

The jug has a maximum capacity of 1.5 L. Do not fill beyond the max line to avoid spills.

Is the blender BPA-free?

Yes, all plastic parts that come into contact with food are BPA-free.

How to use the pulse function?

Press and hold the pulse button for short bursts. Release to stop. This is ideal for chopping or crushing.

What should I do if the blender stops working?

Check the power cord and outlet. If the motor stops due to overload, let it cool down for 15 minutes before restarting.

Can I blend hot liquids?

Allow hot liquids to cool below 60°C before blending. Never blend boiling liquids as pressure can build up.

How to disassemble for cleaning?

Remove the jug from the base. Twist the lid counterclockwise and lift off. Remove the blade assembly by turning it counterclockwise.

Is a replacement jug available?

Yes, you can order a replacement jug directly from Izzy or authorized retailers.

What is the warranty period?

Safety Interlocks

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance and save them for future reference. Please keep the sales receipt for guaranteed purposes (pls see below “Guarantee and Customer Service”)

• Make sure your electricity supply is the same as the one shown on the underside of the appliance.
• Never leave the appliance unattended when it is operating.
• Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is being used near children or infirm persons. Ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, children or those with lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructing concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Do not touch the sharp blades. Keep the blade unit away from children.
• Switch off and unplug:

- Before fitting or removing parts.

- After each use.

- Before cleaning.

• Never use the appliance for any other use than indicated.
• The device is intended for indoor use. Do not use the device outdoors.
• The device is intended only for domestic use. Any other use will cancel the warranty.

• Always use the blender on a secure, dry level surface.

- When you first use the product there might be a peculiar smell. This is normal and it will disappear automatically after a few uses.

- Do not operate or place the device or parts in places of high humidity or where it may get wet.

• Always unplug the appliance before putting your hands or utensils in the goblet.

• Never fit the blade unit to the power unit without the blender goblet.
• Only operate the blender with the lid in place.
• Do not remove the lid of the blender when in operation.
• Always take care when handling the blade assembly and avoid touching the cutting edge of the blades when cleaning.
• Only use the goblet with the blade assembly provided.
• Never let the power unit, cord or plug get wet.
• If the appliance does get wet, immediately remove the power cord from the wall outlet and do not put your hands in the water. Never run the wet appliance and contact one of the authorized BENRUBI service centers.

ATTENTION: Hot ingredients should be allowed to cool to room temperature before blending.

- When removing the blender from the power unit:

• Wait until the blades have completely stopped.
• Don't accidentally unscrew the goblet from the blade assembly.

- Never run the blender empty.

- Never blend frozen ingredients that have formed a solid mas durin freezing, break it up before adding to the goblet.

- Do not process hard spices, such as nutmeg or turmeric root as they may damage the blade.

- Do not use the blender as a storage container. Keep it empty before and after use.

- Never place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or where it could touch a heated appliance.

- Misuse of your blender can result in injury.

- Do not let the power cord of the appliance hang over the edge of a table or bench top or where a child could grab it. Do not let the power cord to touch any hot surface.

- Never leave the power cable wrapped during use. Unwind it completely.

- Never use highly corrosive or abstractive cleaning agents. Never use metal scouring pads for cleaning.

- Do not move the appliance when it is in operation.

- Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.

- Do not use an extension power cord.

- Check the power cord periodically for possible damages.

- If the power cord or the plug of the appliance has been damaged, do not use the appliance and contact an authorized BENRUBI Service Center.

- In case of a possible damage, do not attempt to repair the appliance by

yourself. Please contact one of the authorized BENRUBI service centers.

• Any repair made by a non-unauthorized BENRUBI Service Center CANCELS THE GUARANTEE.
• Any misuse of the device cancels the warranty.
• Only use original spare parts.

Before the First Use

- Wash the parts of the appliance. See "Care and cleaning" section.

Using Your Blender

Caution: Make sure the device is turned off ("OFF" position) before placing the goblet on the base of the blender.

1. Put the sealing ring in the blade base (6) ensuring that the sealing ring is correctly positioned. Note: Leaking will occur if the sealing ring is damaged or incorrectly fitted.
2. Screw the blade unit (6) onto the glass jar (3), ensuring the blade unit is fully tightened.
3. Put the ingredients into the glass jar (3).

1. Place the locking lid (2) onto the glass jar (3) and turn clockwise until locked (Fig. 1).
2. Place the filler cap (1) on the locking lid (2).

1. Place the glass jar on the power unit (4) by holding it from the handle and turning it clockwise ensuring it is correctly fitted until locked in ☐ position (Fig.2). To remove the glass jar turn it anticlockwise until locked to ☐ position.

2. Before operation you may add food directly into the glass jar before locking the locking lid (Fig.3) During blending you may add ingredients from the filler cap (Fig.4)

Note: The appliance won't work if the glass jar is incorrectly fitted on the body of the appliance. Note: For safety reasons, the appliance will not operate if the locking lid is not correctly fitted and locked on the jar.

1. Turn the speed knob (5) to the "ON" position. The indicator lights (7, 8, 9) will blink.

2. When the indicator lights (7, 8, 9) are flashing, you can select one of the following buttons,

3. Press the "Smoothie" button (7) to activate the juice & smoothies function. The product works for 3 seconds and stops for 3 seconds and so on for 15 cycles.

4. Press the "Ice Crushing" button (8) to activate the ice crushing function. The product works for 1 seconds and stops for 3 seconds and so on for 20 cycles.
5. Press the "Pulse" button (9) to activate the pulse mode. The product works for 1 second and stops for 3 seconds and so on for 10 cycles.

Note: If you have selected one of the above buttons (7, 8, 9) and you turn the speed knob (5) to another position, the selected function will be cancelled and the appliance will operate at the speed you have selected.

1. Alternatively, you can select the speed of your choice by turning the speed knob to the corresponding position.
2. You may stop this procedure any time by turning the speed knob to the "OFF" position.
3. When you have finished mixing, turn the speed knob (5) to the "OFF" position and disconnect.
4. Remove the jar from the base of the appliance and empty the content.

Note: The maximum continuous operation time should not exceed 1 minute.

Important Information for the Correct Use of the Blender

• For best circulation of food, it is advised to blend food with some water or other liquid. Pour the liquid into the jar first, and then add solids. The food-liquid ratio is 2:3
• The blender is not appropriate for: beating egg whites, whipping cream, mashing potatoes, grinding meat, mixing dough, extracting juice from fruit and vegetables.

Caution: The following items should never be placed in the unit as they may cause damage: bones, large pieces of solid, frozen food, or tough foods.

Caution: Do not put hot liquids or ingredients in the glass jar. Do not operate the blender while the jar is empty.

- Ingredients should not exceed the Max level engraved on the glass jar.

• The processing of spices is not recommended as they may damage the plastic parts.
• When making mayonnaise, put all ingredients, except oil, into the blender. Remove the filler cap. Then, with the appliance running, add the oil slowly through the hole in the lid.
• Thick mixtures, e.g. pâtés and dips, may need scraping down. If the mixture is difficult to process, add more liquid.
• When crushing ice you may crush up to 12 ice-cubes of 25mm^ 25mm^ 25mm size.

Care and Cleaning

• Always switch off, unplug and dismantle before cleaning.
• Empty the goblet before unscrewing it from the blade unit
• Do not immerse the blade unit in water.
• Do not place any parts and blender glass jug in the dishwasher. Do not wash them in very hot water.

Cleaning the power unit

• Wipe with a damp cloth. Then dry well.
• Don't immerse the power unit in water.
• Never use highly corrosive or abstractive cleaning agents.
• Never use metal scouring pads for cleaning.

Cleaning blender blade unit

• Remove and clean the sealing ring.
• Don't touch the sharp blades. Brush them clean using hot soapy water and then rinse thoroughly under the tap.
• Don't immerse the blade unit in water.

Cleaning blender glass jug, safety lid and filler cap

• Clean well using hot soapy water and then rinse thoroughly under the tap.
• Dry thoroughly.

Storage

• Always unplug the power cord when not in use.
- Make sure the appliance is dry and clean before storing it.
- Store the appliance in a dry place without moisture.
- Before using the appliance after a long time, make sure that it is clean and dry.
- Store the device out of the reach of children.
