How do I set the time on my AcuRite 13002?

Press and hold the TIME SET button for 3 seconds to enter SET MODE. The flashing item (hour) can be adjusted using + FORWARD or - BACKWARD buttons. Press TIME SET to move to minute, month, date, and year. If no button is pressed for 5 seconds, SET MODE exits automatically.

How do I set the alarm?

Press and release the ALARM button to enter ALARM SET MODE. The flashing hour can be adjusted with + FORWARD or - BACKWARD. Press ALARM again to set minutes. The alarm will sound at the set time when the ALARM ON/OFF switch is slid to ON.

How do I turn the alarm on or off?

Slide the ALARM switch on the top of the clock to ON to enable the alarm (ALARM ON indicator appears) or to OFF to disable it.

What is the snooze function and how do I use it?

When the alarm is sounding, press the SNOOZE button on top of the clock to activate a 9-minute snooze. The alarm will sound again after 9 minutes. Snooze remains active until the ALARM ON/OFF button is pressed.

How do I select the correct time zone?

Use the TIME ZONE switch on top of the clock to choose from HAST, AKST, PST, MST, CST, EST, or AST. The clock will automatically adjust the time based on the selected zone.

How do I set Daylight Saving Time (DST)?

Slide the DST ON/OFF switch on the bottom of the clock to ON if your area observes DST, or OFF if it does not. The clock will adjust automatically when DST changes.

What should I do if the clock won't turn on or shows partial numbers?

Press the Reset button on the bottom of the clock. This restores factory settings, and you will need to set the time and date again.

How do I replace the Intelli-Time backup battery?

Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the clock, unscrew the cover, and insert a CR2032 coin cell battery with the + terminal facing out. Screw the cover back on.

Why are the colon dots blinking?

The blinking colon indicates the seconds are counting and is normal function. It cannot be stopped.

How do I clean the clock?

Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use caustic cleaners or abrasives. Keep away from dust, dirt, and moisture. Clean ventilation ports regularly with a gentle puff of air.

Clock Setup

Plug the power cord into power outlet.

Intelli-Time® Clock

Intelli-Time clock and calendar are pre-programmed to the correct time and date, and update automatically for Daylight Saving Time. All you need to do is select your time zone using the "TIME ZONE" switch.

Set the Time & Date

Choose the correct time zone (HAST AKST PST MST CST EST AST) using the "TIME ZONE" switch on the top of the clock.

Set Daylight Saving Time ON or OFF using the "DST ON/OFF" switch on the bottom of the clock.*

Press and hold the "TIME SET" button for 3 seconds to enter the SET MODE. Once in the SET MODE the preference you are currently in will blink on the clock.

To adjust the currently selected (flashing) item, press and release the "+ FORWARD" or "- BACKWARD" buttons (press and HOLD to fast adjust). To save your adjustments, press and release the "TIME SET" button to adjust the next preference. The preference order is as follows:

You will automatically exit SET MODE if no buttons are pressed for 5 seconds. Enter SET MODE any time by pressing and holding "TIME SET" button for 3 seconds.

*If you live in an area that observes daylight saving time, DST should be set to ON.

Using the Alarm Clock

Set the Alarm Time

To set alarm time, press and release the "ALARM" button to enter ALARM SET MODE.

To adjust the currently selected (flashing) item, press and release the "+ FORWARD" or "- BACKWARD" buttons (press and HOLD to fast adjust).

To save your adjustments, press and release the "ALARM" button to adjust the next preference. The preference set order is as follows:

ALARM CLOCK HOUR (Please note PM Indicator light) ALARM CLOCK MINUTE

You will automatically exit ALARM SET MODE if no buttons are pressed for 5 seconds. Enter ALARM SET MODE at any time by pressing the "ALARM" button.

Alarm Clock ON or OFF function

To turn alarm on: Slide the "ALARM" switch to "ON". The Alarm On indicator will appear next to the word "ALARM" on the screen.

To turn alarm off: Slide the "ALARM" switch to "OFF". The Alarm On indicator will disappear next to the word "ALARM" on the screen.

Alarm Clock SNOOZE function

When the alarm is sounding, activate the 9 minute SNOOZE function by pressing the SNOOZE button on the top of the alarm clock. SNOOZE function remains active until ALARM ON/OFF button is pressed.

Intelli-Time technology is powered by a pre-installed coin-cell battery that stores the time and date settings. The battery has a shelf life of several years. To replace the Intelli-Time battery:

1. Locate the coin cell battery compartment door on the back of the display unit. Unscrew and remove the compartment cover.
2. Insert 1 x CR2032 coin cell battery into the battery compartment, as shown. Install battery with "+" positive terminal facing OUT.
3. Screw in the battery cover.

Troubleshooting

Clock won’t turn on or displays partial numbers	Reset the unit by pressing the reset button located on the bottom of the clock. This will reset the alarm to the original factory settings. Time and date will need to be entered after a reset.
Blinking Colon (dots)	Blinking of the dots is a way that the seconds are counted. There is no way to stop the dots from blinking.

Replace Intelli-Time Clock Battery

1. Locate the coin cell battery compartment door on the bottom of the clock. Unscrew and remove the compartment cover.

3. Screw in the battery cover.

Remedy for breach of this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defective item(s). Any product which, under normal use and service, is proven to breach the warranty contained herein within ONE YEAR from date of sale will, upon examination by Chaney, and at its sole option, be repaired or replaced by Chaney.
