Frequently Asked Questions - LPHFD31 PAC

How do I program the LPHFD31 remote to my TV?
To program the remote, first turn on your TV. Press and hold the SETUP button until the LED blinks twice, then enter the code for your TV brand using the number buttons. If the code is correct, the LED will blink twice again. Test the power button. If it works, programming is complete. Consult the code list in the manual for your brand.
Why is the remote not responding?
Ensure batteries are installed correctly with fresh batteries. Check that there are no obstructions between the remote and the device. The remote uses infrared technology, so it requires a clear line of sight. If the LED on the remote doesn't flash when a button is pressed, replace the batteries.
How do I reset the remote to factory settings?
Press and hold the SETUP button for about 5 seconds until the LED blinks twice. Then press 9-8-1 sequentially. The LED will blink twice to confirm the reset. This clears all programmed codes and macros.
Can I use this remote for multiple devices?
Yes, the LPHFD31 remote is universal and can control up to 2-4 devices (depending on model). It can be programmed to control a TV, DVD player, soundbar, and more. Use the DEVICE button to switch between devices.
What are the battery specifications?
The remote requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). Alkaline batteries are recommended for longer life. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types.
How do I use the learning function?
The learning function allows you to copy functions from an original remote. Place the remotes head-to-head (IR emitters facing each other), press SETUP until LED blinks twice, press the button you want to learn on the PAC remote, then press the corresponding button on the original remote. The LED will blink to confirm successful learning.
What is the maximum operating range?
The remote has an operating range of up to 30 feet (10 meters) when used within a 30-degree cone angle. Performance may vary based on environmental conditions and battery strength.
How do I clean the remote?
Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the remote. Avoid using liquids, solvents, or abrasive cleaners. Do not immerse in water. Keep the remote away from extreme heat or moisture.
Does the remote have a macro function?
Yes, the remote supports macro programming. Macros allow you to execute multiple commands with a single button press. To set a macro, refer to the user manual for step-by-step instructions. Typically, you press SETUP, then a macro button (e.g., M1), then the sequence of commands you want.
What do I do if the remote is damaged?
If the remote is physically damaged or not functioning, contact PAC customer support or visit the manufacturer's website for repair options. The remote is covered by a 1-year limited warranty. Do not attempt to open or repair the remote yourself, as it may void the warranty.

Important Note: This harness is provided with a inline fuse installed. Please remove prior to install and reinsert once finished.

If your vehicle does not provide ACC source your harness will not have a "RED" wire to connect.

It will use DC Offset to turn on as well as trigger the "REM OUT" on the LPA. On LPA-E4 there will be a jumper that you can move based on your application.

This harness is designed to work on OEM NON-AMPLIFIED systems.

Connect the RED BUTT Connector to the aftermarket system turn on for your amplifiers.
