How do I change the combination on the Auditcon 52?
Open the container door. Press # and then 1 for User 1 (Manager) or ## and then 1 for User 2. Enter the current combination (default 502550). Enter a new six-digit combination, then enter it again for verification. Test the new combination before closing the door.
What is the default combination for the Auditcon 52?
The default combination is 502550 for both users after factory reset or mode change.
How do I set the time delay on a Model T52?
Press # then 5. Enter the current combination (User 1 for Single Mode, or both users for Dual Custody). Enter the desired delay (01-99 minutes) and confirm. Then enter the opening window duration (01-20 minutes) and confirm. The change takes effect after the next opening.
What should I do if I get locked out after too many wrong attempts?
The lock will enter a 3-minute lockout after 5 wrong tries. Each additional wrong try adds 3 minutes. During lockout, red flashes and beeps occur when powering the lock. Wait for the lockout to expire before trying again.
How do I add a second user (User 2) in Single Mode?
Only the Manager User (User 1) can add User 2. Press # then 3. Enter the User 1 combination. User 2 is added with default combination 502550 and access status Enabled.
How do I change the lock mode from Single to Dual Custody?

Why is my lock not powering on?
The Auditcon 52 uses PowerStar™ Technology and must be manually powered by briskly turning the dial back and forth before each operation. If it still doesn't respond, check for any obstructions or contact support.
How do I replace the battery on a battery assist lock?
Enter a valid combination to unlock and open the container door. Locate the battery clip inside the door near the lock and replace the old battery with a fresh 9 Volt Alkaline battery.
What is the difference between Dead Bolt and Slide Bolt operation?
For a Dead Bolt, you must manually turn the dial to the Home position, then clockwise to retract the bolt. For a Slide Bolt, after entering the combination, the bolt automatically slides when the container handle is turned. The lock response also differs: Dead Bolt gives one slow green flash, Slide Bolt gives continuous green flashes.
Can I use the Auditcon 52 in a UL listed installation?
Yes, but for UL listed installations, only one user can be activated (Single Mode with only User 1). Dual Custody Mode and User 2 are not permitted.

LOCK MODES

A maximum of two users can exist in a lock. A lock can operate in either Single Mode or Dual Custody Mode.

Note: For a UL listed installation, only one user can be activated.

- Single Mode

Single Mode defaults to having only a Manager User (User 1) in the lock. A second user (User 2) can then be added by the Manager User (User 1). (See section on Manager User Operations.)

In Single Mode only one valid user combination is required to open the lock - the Manager User (User 1) combination or the User 2 combination.

Note: Default lock status from the factory is Single Mode with an opening combination of "502550" for the Manager User (User 1).

- Dual Custody Mode

Dual Custody Mode defaults to two users in the lock - User 1 and User 2.

Two user combinations are required to open the lock - the User 1 combination and the User 2 combination.

Note: Manager User Operations are not available in Dual Custody Mode.

LOCK OPERATING CONVENTIONS

- The power source for the Auditcon 2 Lock Series is PowerStar™ Technology. With this technology an internal generator is used to create all necessary power.

Important Note: The lock must be manually powered before each operation by briskly turning the dial back and forth ⏻ ⏻.

  • To clear a combination or keystroke, press the key.
  • If the bolt is not retracted within 4-6 seconds after a valid opening combination is accepted, the lock will “relock”.

Please note the following operational differences based on the type of bolt you have installed:

  • Dead Bolt (Manual Locking) Technology: There is a “Home” position for the dial on the lock that is directly related to the manual retraction or extension of the bolt. In the “HOME” position, the lip of the dial will cover the red “open lock” indicator. The dial must be positioned here on a lock “Open” operation before you can successfully open the lock. The dial must be turned to the right (CW) to retract the bolt and unlock the lock. The dial must be turned to the left (CCW) to extend the bolt and lock the lock. The lock may not open if more than a 5 lb. force is applied to the end or side of the bolt.
  • Slide Bolt (Auto Locking) Technology: Once a combination has been entered and accepted, the lock bolt movement works in conjunction with the bolt works of the container. When the bolt works are disengaged to open the container, the lock bolt will slide into the “unlocked” or retracted position. Once the bolt works are extended to the locked position, the lock bolt automatically slides into the “locked” position. The lock will not open if force is applied to the end or side of the bolt.

LOCK RESPONSES

  • The lock is “powered” when simultaneous green Ⓖ and red ⚡ flashes display with a beep 🔍.
    • Each keystroke generates a green flash G with a beep 🏠.
  • The completion of a step within an operation is indicated by a green flash-G-with a beep.
  • The successful completion of an operation is indicated by simultaneous green G and red R flashes.
  • If a valid combination or combinations are entered to open the lock, the lock will respond as follows to indicate that the lock is ready to open:

Dead Bolt - 1 slow green flash

Slide Bolt - Continuous green flashes Ⓖ... for approx. 5 seconds

- An error is indicated by three red flashes with beeps.

- If the Battery Assist option is included on your lock and a 9 Volt Alkaline has been installed for Battery Assist, the LEDs will continually flash throughout the duration of a Time Delay or Open Window period. There is not a battery low indicator for Battery Assist. If the feature is not functioning properly, check the battery.
