Frequently Asked Questions - BV775B BOSS

How do I pair my phone via Bluetooth?
Set your phone to Bluetooth search mode. The unit’s Bluetooth name (model number) will appear. Select it and enter code 0000 if prompted. Once connected, the Bluetooth icon on the screen will light up.
How can I reset the unit if it freezes?
Locate the reset button near the USB port under the cover. Use a pointed object like a ballpoint pen to press the button. This will restore factory settings and clear all memory.
Why can’t I watch video while driving?
For safety, video playback is disabled unless the parking brake is engaged. The light green wire (parking brake input) must be connected to a grounded parking brake signal. When engaged, the warning screen disappears.
What disc formats are supported?
The unit supports DVD±R/RW, VCD, CD-R/RW, and files in MP3, WMA, JPEG, and WMV formats. Use genuine discs for best performance.
Why is there no sound from the speakers?
Check speaker wire connections: ensure they are not grounded or shorted. Verify the speaker impedance is 4 ohms. Also check the mute function and volume level. If still no sound, press the reset button.
How do I improve radio reception?
Make sure the antenna is fully extended and properly connected. In the tuner settings, set LOC for strong stations or DX for weak stations. For FM, switch to Mono mode to reduce noise on weak signals.
Why doesn’t the remote control work?
First, replace the battery with a new one of the same type. Point the remote directly at the sensor on the front panel. Clean any dirt from the sensor. If still not working, reset the unit.
How do I set the clock?
From the main menu, go to Settings > Clock Settings. Choose 12h or 24h format, then adjust hour and minute using the on-screen arrows. In 12h mode, select AM/PM.
Can I connect a rear camera?
Yes, connect the rear camera to the yellow R-CAM input and provide power using the red/white wire (rear camera power +12V). In the camera settings menu, enable rear camera input and set delay if desired.
How do I adjust the equalizer?
Touch the AUDIO icon on any screen to open the Audio Menu. Select Equalizer to choose presets like Rock, Pop, etc., or set a User mode and slide the frequency bars to your preference.
