Frequently Asked Questions - IVAPAC8KBTU Ivation

How do I install the Ivation IVAPAC8KBTU air conditioner?
Installation requires a horizontal sliding window. Use the included window kit to seal the opening. Attach the exhaust hose to the unit and window bracket. Ensure the unit is level and plugged into a grounded outlet. Refer to the manual for detailed steps.
What does the error code E1 mean?
Error code E1 indicates a room temperature sensor failure. Unplug the unit for 5 minutes and restart. If the error persists, contact customer support.
How often should I clean the air filter?
Clean the air filter every month during heavy use. Slide out the filter, vacuum or wash with mild soap, and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
Can I use an extension cord?
It is not recommended. Plug the unit directly into a dedicated 115V outlet. If necessary, use a heavy-duty 14 AWG cord of 10 ft or less.
How do I drain the condensate?
The unit has a self-evaporation system but may need manual draining in high humidity. Remove the bottom drain plug or attach a garden hose for continuous drainage.
What is the maximum room size for this AC?
The IVAPAC8KBTU effectively cools rooms up to 300 square feet.
Does it have a heating function?
No, this model is a cooling-only air conditioner. It does not provide heat.
How do I set the timer?
Press the Timer button on the remote or control panel. Use the +/- buttons to set the desired off time (1-24 hours). Confirm with the Timer button again.
The unit turns off by itself. Why?
Possible causes: the room temperature reached the set point, the timer is active, the water tank is full, or there's a power interruption. Check the settings and drain the condensate if needed.
Where can I find spare parts?
Spare parts such as filters, remote controls, and window kits are available on the Ivation website or through authorized dealers. Use the model number IVAPAC8KBTU.
