IMPORTANT INFORMATION - RETAIN FOR FUTURE USE
When using your Heated Tray, basic safety precautions should always be followed:
- Read all instructions.
- Check that the voltage indicated on the data plate corresponds with that of the local network before connecting the appliance to the mains power supply.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst connected to the mains power supply.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids.
- It is imperative to unplug the power cord after the appliance has been used, before it is cleaned and whilst being repaired.
- Close supervision is required when using this appliance near children.
- Never leave the appliance within reach of children.
- Repairs to electrical appliances should only be performed by a qualified electrician. Improper repairs may place the user at serious risk.
- Do not operate the appliance with a damaged plug or cord, after a malfunction, or after being dropped or damaged in any way.
- Do not use the appliance for anything other that its intended use.
- Do not touch hot surfaces, use handle or knobs when working with the unit.
- Never place your hand over the steam vents or cover when the appliance is in operation.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - RETAIN FOR FUTURE USE
- Ensure the appliance is used on a stable, heat resistant surface.
- Any meat dishes placed in the buffet server must be thoroughly cooked first. Do not place raw meat in the buffet server.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments, bed and breakfast type environments

CAUTION: Surfaces become hot during use.
Only use this appliance on work tops that can withstand temperatures of 60 degrees Centigrade for extended periods.

HOW TO USE
Before first use, remove all packaging.
Note: There may be a faint smell when using the Heated Tray for the first time but this is quite normal and will fade with use. This is caused by the evaporation of preserving oils used in manufacture.
WARNING: This appliance will get hot during use, please exercise extreme caution.
- Place the Heated Tray on a stable surface that can withstand temperatures of up to 60 degrees Centigrade for extended periods.
- Plug the mains lead into the Heated Tray, ensuring it is FIRMLY in place. Connect the plug to the mains power supply. The red indicator light will illuminate and the tray will start heating up.
- Once the tray reaches the optimum temperature of 150C, the green indicator light will illuminate. This usually takes 8-10 mins. The tray can be unplugged at this point and will stay hot for up to 1 hour.
- Whilst the tray can be used in corded or cordless mode, it is not recommended to keep the tray plugged in for more than 2 hours out of any 6
- After use, unplug the appliance from the mains power supply and allow to cool thoroughly
- Never attempt to move the Heated Tray while the appliance is still hot or if food is still on its surface. To do so poses a significant scalding risk.
TIPS
- The tray can be used outdoors in cordless mode, in fine weather
- Food warmed on the tray must be pre-cooked and already hot as this appliance is not designed for heating from cold or frozen.
- When you have finished using the appliance, unplug from the mains

HOW TO USE
power supply and allow to cool for approximately 2 hours before storing.
- Any containers you use must be able to withstand 150 degrees Centigrade for extended periods. Most metal or ceramic containers will be fine. Some plastic trays may not be suitable for use with this appliance. Check the label or information that came with the plastic tray for temperature limits.
- To keep the tray surface clean and protected from spills, you can put a layer of paper kitchen towel on the surface before placing containers of food on it. Don't use tin foil to line the whole cooking surface, as it interferes with the temperature control system.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
- Caution: Always ensure the appliance is unplugged from the mains power supply and has thoroughly cooled before cleaning or storing.
- Clean the heating surface with a soft cloth moistened in a mild detergent solution. Dry with paper kitchen towel.
- Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents or allow water to spill or seep into the frame. Never immerse the tray, cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Store in a cool, dry place.

As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red. The wire which is coloured GREEN/YELLOW must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter E or (earth symbol) and is coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW.
