Frequently Asked Questions - EX6220 EPSON

How do I connect my computer wirelessly to the Epson EX6220 projector?
Install the EasyMP Network Projection software from the CD. Ensure the projector's wireless LAN unit is installed and set to Quick Connection Mode. Press the LAN button on the remote, then launch the software and select Quick Connection Mode. The projector should appear in the search list; select it and connect. Enter the keyword displayed on the screen if prompted.
What is Quick Connection Mode and when should I use it?
Quick Connection Mode allows direct wireless communication between your computer and the projector without needing an access point. Use this when you want a simple, ad-hoc connection for presentations without existing network infrastructure.
Can I connect multiple projectors to one computer?
Yes. Using the Multi-Screen Display Function (Advanced Connection Mode), you can connect up to four projectors to one computer and project different images from each, or use Distribution Function to show the same image on multiple projectors.
How do I project a PowerPoint slideshow without showing my desktop?
Use Presentation Mode. On the toolbar, click the Presentation Mode icon to enable it. Then start your PowerPoint slideshow. Only the slides will be shown; other computer content is hidden. A black screen is projected when the slideshow is not active.
What should I do if I cannot find the projector during network search?
Try these steps: 1) Check that the projector's wireless LAN is on and Connection Mode is set correctly (Quick or Advanced). 2) Ensure your computer's wireless is enabled. 3) Use Manual Search to enter the projector's IP address or SSID. 4) If using Advanced Mode, verify the projector and computer are on the same network subnet. 5) Temporarily disable the firewall or open ports 3620, 3621, 3629.
How can I play movies smoothly over the network?
Use Movie Sending Mode (supported models only). On the toolbar, click the Movie Sending Mode icon, select the projector, then select a compatible movie file (.mpg, .mp4, .wmv). The file is sent directly to the projector for smoother playback. Note: only one projector can receive the movie at a time.
Why is there no audio from the projector?
Ensure Output audio from the projector is checked in Set Options > Audio Output tab. Note that audio can only be sent to one projector at a time. If multiple projectors are connected, disconnect extra ones. Also, check that the projector's volume is not muted.
What are the projector's lamp specifications?
The Epson EX6220 uses a UHE lamp with a rated life of 5000 hours in Normal mode and 6000 hours in Eco mode. Lamp power is approximately 200 W. For replacement, purchase the official Epson lamp module.
Can I control the projector from the computer while presenting?
Yes. The toolbar provides controls: Stop (black screen), Pause (freeze image), A/V Mute, and input source switching. You can also adjust performance settings and enable encryption for secure communication.
How do I uninstall EasyMP Network Projection software?
On Windows: go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, select EasyMP Network Projection, and click Uninstall. On Mac: open the Applications folder, then EasyMP Network Projection - Tools, and run the Uninstaller. Follow the on-screen instructions.
