Frequently Asked Questions - PR4 PURE

How do I assemble the Pure PR4 rowing machine?
Follow the step-by-step assembly instructions in the manual. Start by attaching the front bottom tube to the main frame, then connect the guide rail and main frame with the U-shaped plate, install the glide saddle post, attach the tail boom, pedals, and finally the console. All required hardware is included.
How do I adjust the resistance on the PR4?
You can adjust resistance manually using the knob on the main frame or electronically via the console. During a workout, press the UP and DOWN keys on the console to change the resistance level (1 to 16). The default level is 1.
What do the console error codes E-2 and E-7 mean?
E-2 indicates the motor stroke is out of normal range. Unplug the adapter, then reconnect it to reset the motor. E-7 means a cable connection issue; check that all cables are properly connected and undamaged.
How do I use the heart rate control (HRC) programs?
Select H.R.C. from the main menu. Choose from HRC55 (55% of max heart rate, ideal for fat burning), HRC75 (75%, for experienced users), HRC90 (90%, for sprint training), or TARGET (set your own target pulse, 30-240 BPM). You must wear a compatible chest belt to measure heart rate.
Can I fold the PR4 for storage?
Yes. Turn the knob counterclockwise to remove it, pull out the spring knob, then fold the guide rail down. Tighten the spring knob to secure it when folded. Be careful of your hands during folding.
What maintenance does the rowing machine require?
Keep the machine clean and dry. Wipe off sweat after use. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. Check screws and bolts regularly and tighten if needed. Store indoors away from moisture.
What is the maximum user weight for the PR4?
The maximum supported user weight is 150 kg (330 lbs). Do not exceed this limit to ensure safety and machine longevity.
How do I create a custom workout program?
Select USER PROGRAM from the menu. You can set resistance levels for each of 16 bars. Use UP/DOWN to set resistance (1-16) for each bar, then press ENTER to move to the next bar. After setting all bars, set the workout time and start rowing.
How do I use the Recovery function?
After a workout, press the RECOVERY button while wearing the chest belt. The timer counts down from 60 seconds. After that, a fitness rating (F) from 1.0 (outstanding) to 6.0 (poor) is displayed based on heart rate recovery.
What safety precautions should I follow?
Read all instructions before use. Assemble exactly as manual. Check connections before each use. Place on a level surface with a mat. Keep a 2-meter clear area. Consult a doctor before starting any exercise program. Do not use for therapeutic purposes. Stop if you feel dizzy or sick. Children and disabled persons should be supervised.

In addition, simple graphics also show you whether you need to need to increase or decrease your stress Level. You can choose between:

HRC55 Here you are rowing in the very efficient range of 55%, ideal for beginners and for general fat Burning.

HRC75 This range of 75% of the maximum pulse rate is suitable for experienced users and athletes.

HRC90 The anaerobic range of 90% of the maximum pulse rate is only suitable for competitive athletes and short sprint exercises.

TAG The computer uses your Age to calculate a target pulse rate, which you can change as per your willing. Never select a target pulse that is higher than your age-determined maximum pulse rate.

-Press UP & DOWN to select H.R.C. and enter by pressing MODE. Choose HRC55-->HRC75-->HRC90->TARGET. With HRC55, HRC75, HRC90, the max. Heart rate will be calculated by the computer automatically.
