How do I turn on the heat therapy?

Can I use the massager on my shoulder or elbow?

Yes, the massager comes with detachable and adjustable straps (1x 70cm and 2x 35cm) that can be used for the knee, shoulder, and elbow. Follow the Suggested Uses section in the manual.

Is it safe to use while sleeping?

No. Do not use this product while sleeping to avoid excessive stimulation or burns.

How long can I use it per session?

The device has an auto timer that shuts off after 30 minutes. You can use it for up to 60 minutes total, but take a 5-10 minute break between cycles. Not recommended to exceed 60 minutes.

Thank you for purchasing the Sharper Image Heated Physiotherapy Massager. This user's manual provides important information for operation and safety. Please read this manual carefully and understand it thoroughly before operation. Keep this manual for future reference.

NOTE: This device is not intended for medical use. It is intended only to provide a relaxing massage at home.

HOW TO OPERATE THE HEATED PHYSIOTHERAPY MASSAGER

1. Place the comfort padding cover on the knee.
2. Put the massager on the top of the comfort padding cover with the control panel facing up.
3. Adjust the straps until it fits your knee properly when buckled.
4. For best results, always attach the massager to the curve of knee as close as possible.
5. Connect the AC power cable to the device and plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
6. The LED light on control panel will turn on, and the LED screen will show “--”.
7. To turn on the Infrared Heat function, press the Heating ON/OFF button once on the control panel. The Infrared Therapy will start working, and the LED screen will show 40°C [104°F, the default minimum temperature].
8. Press the UP or DOWN button on the Control Panel to set your preferred temperature (maximum of 65^ C, 149^ F). The thermostat control system automatically adjusts based on the heat level. The device will stop warming up when it reaches the preset temperature and restart when it falls below your preset temperature. [Note: The warming lights will turn on and off during heating].
9. To turn off the Infrared Heat function, press Heating ON/OFF button once again on the control panel. The LED screen will show “--”.
10. Press the Vibration ON/OFF button for Vibration Massage. It will stop vibrating after 30 minutes.

NOTES

• The temperature increment between 40°C [104°F] and 55°C [131°F] is 5°C [9°F]. From 56°C [132°F] to 65°C [149°F], the temperature increment is 1.8°F.
• This device will be reset to 40°C [104°F] for the next use.
• The default time for Infrared Heat Therapy is 30 minutes. Press the Heating ON/OFF button on the control panel again for more cycles.
• The default time for Vibration Massage is 30 minutes. Press the Vibration ON/OFF button on the control panel again for more cycles.
• Infrared Heat Therapy and Vibration Massage are independently controlled.
• For best results, use this device 2 to 3 times per day for 30 minutes each time.

- Keep out of reach of children at all times.
- Do not use this product while sleeping.
- To avoid excessive stimulation of the muscles and nerves, the massage time should not exceed the recommended 60 minutes at a time (its default time is 30 minutes).
