Frequently Asked Questions - DTD 322 Defy

Why does the drying operation take too long?
Possible causes include clogged lint filter, blocked condenser, insufficient ventilation, overloaded drum, or inadequate spin speed. Clean the lint filter and condenser, ensure good airflow, and reduce load size.
Why are clothes still damp after the drying cycle?
This may occur if the program is not suited for the fabric, the lint filter is clogged, the condenser is blocked, or the load is too large. Also ensure laundry was spun at high speed in the washing machine.
The dryer does not start or the program does not begin.
Check that the power plug is connected, the loading door is properly closed, a program is selected, and the Start/Stand-by button is pressed. Also verify child lock is not active.
The program stops before completion for no reason.
Ensure the loading door is fully closed. A power outage may have occurred; press Start/Stand-by to resume. The water tank may be full; empty it and restart.
How do I activate the child lock?
Press and hold the Drying Level and Buzzer buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The child lock indicator will turn on. To deactivate, repeat the same action.
How do I clean the lint filter?
Open the loading door, remove the lint filter by pulling it up, open it, remove lint by hand or cloth, then close and reinsert. Wash with warm water if clogged.
How often should I clean the condenser?
Clean the condenser every 30 drying cycles or once a month. Open the kick plate, unlock the two condenser locks, pull out the condenser, rinse with pressurised water, dry, and reinstall.
What should I do if the water tank is full during a cycle?
The machine will pause and the Water Tank warning symbol will flash. Empty the water tank and press Start/Stand-by to resume the cycle.
Can I dry all types of fabrics in this dryer?
No, only fabrics with a label stating they are suitable for tumble drying. Do not dry woollen, silk, delicate embroidered items, or items with rubber/foam.
How do I change the program after it has started?
Turn the On/Off/Program selection knob to the new program, then press Start/Stand-by. To add or remove laundry, press Start/Stand-by to pause, open door, adjust load, then press Start/Stand-by again.
