IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  1. Read all instructions carefully.
  2. Before using the bug killer, check if the voltage indicated corresponds with the electric outlet (230Va.c.).
  3. Do not use two-way socket with other appliance.
  4. Do not use the bug killer if the cord or plug is damage, it should be replaced before using.
  5. Do not place the bug killer near gas stove or electric burner.
  6. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  7. Do not touch the metal grill (inner grill) to prevent electric shock.
  8. Do not immerse the unit in water.
  9. Use non conductor material in cleaning the metal grill (inner grill).

OPERATING INSTRUCTION:

  1. The best effect is to put or hang the bug killer at the height of an adult.
  2. The best result is to let the unit placed about 1.5m to 3m distant next to room-door with high ventilation environment.
  3. Plug in. Keep the room light darker than the bug killer.
  4. Save this instruction for future reference.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

  1. Unplug the bug killer before cleaning or changing the bulb.
  2. Replace the bulb when both ends of the tube become dark. To ensure high efficiency, change the bulb after 3,000 hour operation.
  3. Replacing the bulb: Trigger the metal grill with screw driver (non conductor handle) to discharge the remaining current. Loosen the screw at the backside lid to remove the cover, loosen the screw of the bulb holder. Pull up the bulb. Place the new bulb and tightened the screw of the bulb holder and the back lid.

  1. How to clean the metal grill (inner grill): brush out accumulated dirt using round brush (wood holder).

  2. How to clean the plastic grill: wipe it using damp cloth.

  3. Pull down the dirt tray on the bottom of he bug killer and wash it with soap and water. Wipe it dry.

  4. In case of malfunction, bring the bug killer to the nearest Imarflex Service Center.
