How do I use the Imarflex IST-3000S steamer for the first time?

Before first use, wash all removable parts and the inside of the water tank with warm water and liquid detergent. Rinse and dry them thoroughly. Then fill the water reservoir to the maximum level using cold water. Assemble the rings and trays in order (bottom, middle, top) and place the cover on top. Plug in, set the timer, and the steamer will start.

Can I use hot water in the water reservoir?

It is advisable to use cold water instead of hot water. Do not add anything else to the water reservoir.

How do I add water while the steamer is operating?

If you need to add water during cooking, use a suitable jug to pour water through the 'Add Water Hole' on the side of the water reservoir. Be careful to avoid splashing.

How do I cook rice in this steamer?

Add rice and water in equal proportions into the rice bowl. Place the rice bowl into one of the steaming trays (preferably bottom). Follow the cooking guide: bottom tray 25-30 minutes, middle 30-35, top 35-40 minutes. Adjust time as needed.

What are the cooking times for different foods?

Refer to the cooking guide: fish (8-18 min), poultry (25-35 min), vegetables (15-30 min), eggs (18-25 min). Times vary depending on the tray position (bottom cooks fastest, top slowest). Use the timer and the steamer will shut off automatically.

How do I clean the water tank after use?

Fill the water tank with cold water up to the 'max' level. Do not heat it; leave it to descale naturally. Then rinse the inside of the water tank with warm water several times. Repeat if necessary.

Can I use all three trays at the same time?

Yes, you can use one, two, or three steaming trays simultaneously. Stack them in the correct order: bottom ring with bottom tray, middle ring with middle tray, top ring with top tray, and place the cover on top.

What should I do if the power cord is damaged?

The power cord must be replaced with one of the same type and size. Take the unit to an authorized Imarflex service center for safe replacement. Do not use the appliance with a damaged cord.

Why does the steamer turn off automatically?

1. Fit the clear ring to the steaming tray.

Note:

- The clear ring will only fit into its designated steaming tray. (Bottom, Middle, Top) should match in each container.

1. Place the food into the steaming tray. You may use one, two or three steaming trays based on your requirement.

How to Refill Water Reservoir

If you desire to add water in the tank, fill water through the "add water hole" by using a suitable filling jug.

How to Cook Rice:

1. Add rice and water into the bowl in equal proportion.

2. Place the rice bowl into the steaming tray.

3. Plug the socket into a convenience outlet.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

How to clean the Water Tank:

1. Unplug the appliance.
2. Let the steamer it cools down before cleaning.

Cleaning the unit:

• Empty the water tank and clean with a damp cloth.
- Removable parts can wash with soap and water.

Note: Some natural-colored juices from food such as carrots, beetroot etc., may stain the drip tray and water tank. This is normal and will not affect its performance. To avoid staining, wash these two parts immediately after every use. You may also use mild bleach if necessary and rinse thoroughly.

Removing scale build-up from the unit:

• Fill the water tank with cold water up to "max" level.
• Do not heat up (to avoid any descaling odor). Leave it on to descale.
• Rinse the inside of the water tank with warm water several times.
