Water leakage typically occurs if the iron is not hot enough. Set the temperature to Cotton or higher and wait for the indicator light to turn off. Also, ensure the steam lever is in the 'no steam' position after use.

How do I clean the iron to remove scale?

Use the self-cleaning function: fill the tank with a mixture of white vinegar and water (150 ml each) or citric acid solution (15 ml citric acid + 285 ml water). Follow the cleaning procedure in the manual (see 'Maintenance').

How can I prevent brown streaks on clothes?

Brown streaks are often caused by burnt fabric fibers or using chemical descaling agents. Clean the soleplate with a damp soft cloth and avoid aggressive descaling products. Also, rinse new garments before ironing.

What temperature setting should I use for different fabrics?

Refer to the ironing chart in the manual. For example, use Delicate for silk and synthetics, Cotton for cotton and linen, and Wool for wool blends. Always check the garment care label.

Can I use the iron vertically for hanging garments?

Yes, the iron has a vertical steam function. Hold the iron upright and press the steam jet button to remove wrinkles from hanging clothes or curtains.

Is the iron safe to leave unattended?

No, the iron must not be left unattended while connected to the power supply. Always unplug the iron when not in use and keep it out of reach of children under 8 years.

SAFETY ADVICE

Read the following instruction carefully before using machine for the first time.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• No action must be taken to adjust the appliance for operation at the required rated frequency.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• The iron must not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains;
• The plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before the water reservoir is filled with water;
• The filling, or decalcifying, or rinsing, or inspection apertures that are under pressure, must not be opened during use;

-The iron must be used and rested on a flat, stable surface;

• When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable;
• The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
• Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years of age when it is energized or cooling down.

Surfaces are liable to get hot during use.

Denim Cotton or Linen Use maximum steam. Apply maximum steam by pressing and holding the steam on/off button.
Please follow the instructions of your garment care label. Varied ironing speed and fabric dampness might cause optimal setting to differ from the recommendations in the table!

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Soleplate is not heating even though iron is turned on.	Connection problem Select higher	programme like "Cotton".

Water leaks from the soleplate during ironing.	Iron is not hot enough. Select the	Cotton setting ("Cotton" to "Linen") suitable for steam ironing. Put the iron on its heel and wait until temperature indicator light turns off.
Water leaks from the soleplate while the iron is cooling down or after it has been stored.	You may have forgot to put steam lever in "no steam position".	Turn steam lever to "no steam position" position when finished ironing (see "After use", no 12).
Flakes and impurities come out of the soleplate during ironing.	You may have used hard water, which has caused scale flakes to develop in the water tank.	Clean the iron according to Cleaning section (see "Maintenance", no 16).
Brown streaks come out of the soleplate while ironing and stain the linen.	You may have used non recommended chemical descaling agents.	Clean the iron according to Cleaning section (see "Maintenance", no 16).
	Fabric fibers have accumulated in the holes of the soleplate and are burning.	Clean the soleplate with a damp soft cloth.
	Fabrics might not be properly rinsed or the garments are new and have not been washed before ironing.	Please rinse the fabrics properly before ironing.
