Why doesn't hot water come out smoothly?

Clean the filter with a brush. If scale cannot be removed, replace the filter. Also try opening and closing the lid once to release bubbles from the pump (be cautious of steam).

Why does the water smell of chlorine?

Chlorine odor depends on the tap water. The charcoal filter reduces it, but if used for more than 6 months, the filter may lose effectiveness and should be replaced.

Why does the hot water smell bad?

For the first uses, a resin smell may occur but disappears after a few uses. Also avoid placing the unit on rugs or linoleum floors as odors may transfer to the water.

How do I remove incrustation (white deposits)?

Use citric acid cleaning: remove the charcoal filter, add 80 g citric acid and water to the full pot mark, set to 'Cleaning' mode, boil for about 50 minutes, then rinse and boil fresh water to remove residue.

Can I use the unit for making baby milk?

Yes, the 60°C keep warm setting is ideal for baby milk. However, always cool the milk or mix with cooled boiled water before feeding to a baby.

Why does the water fail to boil?

Check that the power plug is properly connected and that the unit is not in timer mode. Also ensure there is enough water (above 'Refill' mark) and that the lid is closed properly.

What do the flashing lights and 'H' on the display mean?

This indicates a malfunction. Unplug the unit, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in and try again. If the problem persists, contact Panasonic service.

How often should I replace the charcoal filter?

Replace the charcoal filter every 6 months to maintain purification performance.

Can I tilt the unit while dispensing?

No, do not tilt or rotate the unit while dispensing hot water to avoid burns from splashing.

Why is the outside of the unit hot?

This is normal. When keeping water warm at high temperatures, the exterior can reach about 55°C, especially in warm rooms.

To Prevent an Empty Container from

Being Heated

If an empty container is heated, the overheat safety function (which prevents an empty container from being heated) will be activated. The power will be shut off automatically to prevent the problems that can occur due to overheating. This will be shown on the display.

Wipe any water off the main unit and the lid using a dry dish cloth.

Caution:

Do not submerge the main unit or the lid in water. (If water enters the main unit from the bottom or from the dispensing spout, it can also get into the electrical components in the main unit and it may cause a malfunction.)

Do not use detergents. (They may leave an odor.)

- Do not use benzine or thinner to clean the pot. (They may damage the surface.)

Wipe any water off the inside of the container using a damp sponge.

Caution:

- Do not use polishing powder, a scrub brush or a nylon brush to clean the container. (They may damage the fluororesin finish.)

In regard to incrustations

With use of the jar pot, the calcium and other minerals in the water will be deposited on the inner container and the filter. This is called incrustation, but it is not harmful.

Filter

If the filter has been washed with a brush but scale cannot be removed, replace it.
