How do I register the handset to the base?
Place the handset on the base cradle for about 5 seconds until you hear a confirmation tone. The handset will automatically register. If not, press and hold the LOCATOR button on the base for 2 seconds, then press OK on the handset.
Why is there no dial tone?
Ensure the base unit is connected to the telephone line and power outlet. Check that the handset is registered to the base (see above). If still no tone, try a different phone cable or reset the base by unplugging for 10 seconds.
How do I set the date and time?
Press MENU on the handset, select Settings, then Date & Time. Use the keypad to enter the current date and time in MM/DD/YY and HH:MM format. Press SAVE.
How many phonebook entries can I store?
You can store up to 100 contacts in the phonebook, each with a name and phone number of up to 24 digits.
How do I retrieve messages from the answering machine?
Press the PLAY button on the base unit to listen to messages. From the handset, press MENU, select Answering System, then Play. Alternatively, you can access messages remotely by dialing your home number and entering your remote access code.
What type of batteries does the handset use?
