Frequently Asked Questions - Portable USB Turntable BV-T002 Bauhn

How do I set up the turntable for the first time?
Place the turntable on a flat, level surface. Remove the tie-wrap holding the tone arm. Connect the DC adapter to the turntable and plug into a wall outlet. Then follow the initial setup steps in the manual.
How do I convert a vinyl record to MP3 on a USB drive?
Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port. Place a record on the turntable and select Turntable mode (LED blue). Press and hold the PLAY/REC button to start recording. The LED will flash blue. Press STOP to end recording. The files are saved in a 'music' directory on the USB drive.
What speeds can the turntable play?
The turntable supports 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM. Use the speed control switch to select the desired speed.
How do I replace the stylus?
Lock the tone arm and remove the protective cap. Hold the bottom of the stylus cartridge and push down on the top edge of the stylus assembly to detach it. Carefully remove the stylus assembly. Insert the rear edge of the new stylus assembly onto the cartridge and gently push the tone arm and stylus assembly together.
Why does the platter stop before the record ends?
This is likely due to the auto stop switch being set to ON. If the platter stops prematurely, set the auto stop switch to OFF to allow the record to play to the end.
How do I clean the turntable and stylus?
Switch off and unplug the turntable. Wipe the body with a soft, dry cloth. For the stylus, use a very soft brush dipped in alcohol, brushing from back to front of the cartridge. Clean records with an anti-static cloth.
Can I connect external speakers to the turntable?
Yes, you can connect active speakers or a stereo system via the RCA output jacks. Connect the red plug to the right channel and white plug to the left.
What does the LED indicator mean?
The LED indicates the current mode: Red for USB, Blue for Turntable, Purple for AUX IN. When flashing, it means recording is in progress (blue for turntable, purple for AUX).
Is there a headphone jack?
Yes, a 3.5mm headphone jack is provided on the turntable for private listening. Be careful not to set the volume too high to avoid hearing damage.
How often should I replace the stylus?
The stylus should be replaced approximately every 50–60 hours of play time, or sooner if sound quality deteriorates. Using a worn stylus can damage records.

A "music" directory is created in which the files are saved in numerical order.
