Frequently Asked Questions - FK 9160 Nabo

How do I adjust the temperature on the Nabo FK 9160?
The temperature is controlled by a rotary knob inside the cooler. Settings range from 1 (warmest) to 6 (coldest), plus an OFF position. The recommended setting is mid-range (around 3-4). The numbers do not represent specific temperatures; adjust based on your needs.
Can I reverse the door opening direction?
Yes, the door is reversible. To change from right-handed to left-handed opening, remove the upper hinge, door axle sleeves, door stopper, and lower hinge, then reinstall them on the opposite side. Follow the detailed steps in the manual, and ensure the door gasket seals properly after reassembly.
How many cans can the FK 9160 hold?
The cooler can hold up to 115 standard cans (355 ml / 12 oz each). The interior is divided into multiple rows and shelves; refer to the manual for the recommended layout to maximize capacity while maintaining air circulation.
Why is my beverage cooler making loud noises?
Normal operating sounds include airflow from the fan, a buzz from the compressor (especially at start/stop), and clatter from valves. Ensure the cooler is on a level, stable surface and that no accessories are rattling. If the noise is excessive, check if the floor is uneven or if the cooler contacts walls.
How do I clean the interior of the FK 9160?
Unplug the cooler and remove all beverages and shelves. Use a soft cloth or sponge with a solution of 2 tablespoons baking soda in 1 quart warm water. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. Do not use soaps, detergents, or abrasive cleaners. Clean the door gasket regularly with mild soapy water.
What should I do if the cooler does not start?
First, check that the power cord is plugged into a working outlet. Verify the temperature control knob is not set to OFF. If the outlet has power, check for a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse. If the issue persists, the compressor or electronics may need professional service.
Is it normal to have condensation on the outside of the cooler?
Condensation on the exterior surface or door seals can occur when ambient humidity is high. This is normal. Wipe it off with a dry towel. You can also slightly increase the set temperature to reduce condensation. Ensure the door gasket is clean and sealing properly.
What safety precautions should I take with this beverage cooler?
This appliance uses flammable refrigerant and foaming material. Keep ventilation openings clear. Do not store explosive substances or use electrical appliances inside. Ensure children cannot climb inside or become trapped. If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by a qualified professional. Dispose of the unit according to local regulations.
How long should I wait before plugging in the cooler after moving it?
After transportation, allow the cooler to stand upright for at least 2 hours before connecting to power. This allows the refrigerant to settle and prevents damage to the compressor. For first-time use, wait half an hour after positioning before plugging in.
Are spare parts available for the FK 9160?
Yes, the manufacturer guarantees availability of spare parts for at least 7 years after the last model launch for thermostats, sensors, PCBs, light sources, door handles, hinges, trays, and baskets. Door gaskets are available for at least 10 years. Parts should be obtained through professional maintenance personnel or authorized channels.
